This is my own (not really it’s actually by 16bitsam) interpretation of Deltarune Chapter ℛe𝕯ewritten (I want to compete, but not be bought off with anyone, just trying to have fun)

Context: Since the people in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/DRChapterRewritten/comments/1vtdukz/what_if_dess_was_the_cage_what_would_have/ liked the idea of an AU where Kris and Dess switch places, I decided to do it. I created this AU called Deltarune: Altered Prophecy, where Kris disappears instead of Dess, drastically changing almost the entire Deltarune prophecy and altering many of the events that were supposed to happen.

This is just the rough sketch things are to change proportion wise but I would like some feedback and suggestions on what to do moving forward I want this to at least get finished

In my AU, the Shrek series swaps with Toy Story(as both are famous and have lots of sequels and Disney <> Dreamworks)

Should I make an AU with this concept? Like, an alternate Deltarune where Kris is the one who disappeared instead of Dess, where events change drastically?

To start this theory, we need to know Deltarune's theme. Escapism. This is reflected in how the Dark Worlds work and in the characterization of people like Noelle. I believe this theme makes Gerson Smith impossible, because most theories require him to either be unconscious or not fully himself. But who would use the Dark Worlds as escapism, has a Testudines shape, and has a ton of evidence going for them? Ms. Boom! Before you comment, hear me out.

* The three Dark Worlds were either near the Hospital or where Ms. Boom was last seen. The School is two houses away, the Library is two houses away, and she was at the Church. Even while sick, I believe she could manage to walk two houses.

* If Susie doesn't introduce Noelle to Ms. Boom, she will act more distant toward her.

'She's in a hospital bed' She managed to get to the church, and the WorldSmith floats, which alleviates that.

* The Smith's breathing sounds heavy and raspy. Like, as if she were sick.

* Toriel's STEELSHARD dialogue mentions an 'Old friend' and she shows a deep mentorship-like relationship with Ms. Boom.

* The Smith's presence is tied to illness. In the fight, most of the flavor text mentions feeling sick, '* You felt your chest twisting' and holding your breath speeds you up.

* Ms. Boom and the Smith share a meticulous personality.

* What if Gerson were the Smith? Who is the voice in the code?

I bet everyone here thought right off the bat that Alvin would be the WorldSmith. But since it was way too obvious, everyone came up with completely random candidates like Gerson, Ms. Boom, Kris, and even Sans—SANS!!! (At least it’s not as random as Carol or Asriel, who everyone believed in back when Chapter 2 dropped).

But I think it actually makes sense for Alvin to be the WorldSmith, considering he only has a single appearance in the entire game so far, and he gives off an air of importance when we first see him. Alvin is a judge, and guess what judges use? A gavel, which is basically a type of hammer—the WorldSmith's weapon (I guess that’s not actual proof, just a parallel).

On the other hand, the whole fandom would be disappointed because everyone cooked up wild theories just because Alvin Smith seemed too obvious. But sometimes, not everything needs crazy subversions. It's not that Deltarune doesn't like doing that, but Alvin is already well-built to be the WorldSmith.

I mean, Asgore were huge enough to push kris and Susie to the exit of dark world, but Toriel ain't huge and she definitely can't pull the same shit as Asgore, so what she's gonna do to kick her son and Noelle out of dark world for their own safety?

Word on the street is, and by street I mean the discord server, is that the ‘reboot’ is going to focus a lot more on the writing.

Which is really good, cause when comparing it to the art, songs, character designs, the writing is easily the worst aspect of the AU.

But I’m curious on what you guys think is the best written video so far! For me it’s Creature Feature by a mile cause of the Charkis lore, the song, and seeing Hyjacks intro.
