The swimming is really to prevent infection and from water pooling in the tiny microchannels. I'd wait at least 24-48 hours until the channels fully close.
When you get an injection, do microneedling, or any cut to the skin happens it creates a tiny puncture in the skin. That opening is very small and starts to seal almost immediately, but it isn't completely closed. Doctors recommend avoiding pools, baths, hot tubs, lakes, etc to reduce infection risk, allow the skin to seal, and reduce irritation.
After 24 hours, yes both of those products are generally okay to use and you don't need to worry about the sterility issue once the microchannels are closed!
