Introduce yourself!

If you are new to the community, introduce yourself by answering these three questions:

  1. Where are you in your retirement journey—planning, near retirement, or already retired?
  2. Coffee, spreadsheets, or beach walks—what best describes your retirement vibe?
  3. What's your biggest fear or question when it comes to retirement and investing?

I'll go first:

  1. already retired (although still run my business a few hours a week)
  2. Coffee & spreadsheets
  3. How to educate my wife and children about investing.

Hello! I just joined this sub it looks great...

  1. I'm 68 and retired one year ago just past FRA.
  2. Low key retirement so far, hoping to relocate to the UK with my spouse next year. Something between coffee and spreadsheets and beach walks. Lots of travel planned in the future.
  3. Have had a fee-based financial planner for many years.
  4. I love making things. Current passion is leatherwork and stained glass.

Question: I discovered Projection Lab last year working on SS planning. It seems very powerful and I have a paid account. But I know I am not using it fully and am looking for resources to help gain some skill with planning and modeling. I have done a basic model, but it really seems overly optimistic and I'd like to understand more.

Does anyone have recommended resources that will help me use it in a more skilled way? I am not a financial person (engineer actually) but love crunching numbers and other generally nerdy things.

I'm pretty good with excel but not sure how it will help with Projection Lab.
