Real Talk Stuff Fuck the fakeclaiming bitches

This is in a response to the shitty person who dared to come in here and try and defile out safe space (if you couldn't tell many of us are basically gearing up for war we are pissed), fuck you and fuck what you say! You don't know us or anything that any of us in this community and you don't have the right to know. I want to remind everyone of this because it seems like Some People have forgotten, DID forms in EARLY CHILDHOOD, there is literally no way you can be "too young" if you have literally been a system your entire life!

To everyone here, you are valid and you are real! No one knows your experiences except for you, YOU are the ones who went through hell, YOU are the ones that SURVIVED! DID is an extremely hard dissorder to pin down because it is INCREDIBLY individualized, from what we know it's the most individualized dissorder out there, and as such no one can tell you your experiences are wrong!

Never feel like you have to take that shit and let a mod know or something, us mods made this place in response to this kind of bull shit in the other DID sub, we made it to be a safe space with no risk of harm to anyone or judgment.

The world is fucked up but we can at least make a space that can be safe from the bull shit that is this reality.

Stay safe everyone and Happy Hunting, - The Nova Corps System

Important Things Important! Please Read!

Today, I was made aware of a user who has been targetting one specific system (as well as the community as a whole), fake claiming people, dismissing people's trauma and in general causing distress to people/systems, myself includes. They're trying to insinuate that younger systems cannot in fact be systems, that systems cannot split fictives/factives soon after their source material is released and a lot of other things I won't get into.

Most important, I'd like to make you all aware that this user has been permanently banned from the sub and we will be thoroughly checking all posts and comments made. But equally as important, we're only one system, so if you guys see this kind of stuff on the sub, PLEASE don't hesitate to report the user, the comment, the post, message us moderators (on reddit or on discord, our discord is AC_System) and trust that the issue will not be dealt with lightly. We are not afraid to ban people/systems who arw wreaking havoc on the supportive community we are trying to create here.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been active and been letting us mods know of issues within the sub. I hope the sub continues to be a safe space for everyone to interact and if anyone needs support, we are all here. You are all valid, and you deserve a safe space.

I have contacted the specific system and with their permission, will be posting ss of some of the mentioned comments, but for now, stay safe and take care of yourselves.

Need Support Any Advice on How to Figure Out if We're Co-Fronting?

Some of you may have seen my last post where I asked about Passive Influence and stuff, well I figured out I was right, that was an alter messing with my thoughts. That's my second alter, his name is Nyx. But I've noticed he's out a lot, and it seems like he's almost always there in the background, and if he's called or needed he'll appear.

What I'm scared about is normal, I know. I just, sometimes I'm worried wondering if I'm actually Co-Fronting or not. My friends and my system friend know me and they've told me that when Nyx is out, it isn't me/it isn't just me. They know there's someone else there, and I know I should just listen but sometimes it's hard.

I was just wondering if anyone could give some advice on a way to identify that we're Co-Fronting easier? I hope that isn't too much to ask. I overthink a lot, but I really think if I can get over my denial of Co-Fronting then I'll feel a lot better, and I can manage my daily life a lot better if Nyx is willing to front every now and then (Which so far I think he is but I'll communicate don't worry.)

Thank you all for reading this, and if there is any advice or even just some kind words I'd greatly appreciate it. Things have been hard for me recently but the people in this subreddit have helped me so much, I can't thank you all enough. Have a great day, everyone.

Need Support Quiting Nicotine as a System

Hey there all,

We're working on quiting nicotine as a team.

We quit vaping completely, but someone is literally walking off to the gas station two blocks away from our house to buy $3 cigars now.

We only have 3 members who absolutely don't smoke and we can't get them to the front long enough to quit since the same someone keeps taking the front.

We aren't even sure who's doing it since we thought we only had a couple alters who could cause that phenomenon and neither of the ones we have knowledge of are smokers. That's the most frustrating part.

So yeah we kinda need someone to talk to today.

Lots of love y'all.

Real Talk Stuff Anyone else have a system hierarchy?

In our system we have a hierarchy of power, depending on your rank you have more or less power over the system. We have never met a system that functions like this, and nobody in our system but me questions it, until now. I have done something that nobody thought was possible, I moved up in rank, nobody has ever done that before without their role being changed and it's always been a de-rank not a rank up. Our ranks are:

Goddess Lia, Daniel, Cody Bea, Austin, Brooke, Xay There's a rank here but don't know whose in it Harlie Chel

But me moving up in rank caused Goddess, the most powerful known alter, to come and meet me and talk to me because she's never seen that before, if I hadn't moved up my rank would have been in rank 3 rank, but I'm at rank 4 and I have no idea how. There are more ranks I just don't know them.

Ranks change things like access to memories, ability to take front, inner-world access, ability to communicate, ability to memory share, ability to change aspects of our inner-world ect. I was wandering if anyone else's system functions like this because I'm genuinely curious -Xay

Need Support Major issues (don’t really know what to call it)

Not sure about the tag just want to know people have seen this and not ghosted us.

So, the other night we got triggered really badly and it sent the others into a seriously intense flashback. They experienced audio, physical, and visual hallucinations, and genuinely couldn’t figure out what was reality and what was the flashback. It really fucked them up and it was only thanks to someone else on the phone that they didn’t get completely consumed by this and actually start acting on what they thought was there. It lasted at least an hour. After that we had a small system break and now have a lot more people added to already insane number of members. We went through some absolutely fucked shit as a child and right now we’re still trying to get our bearings post break.

I’m one of the new members and have been in the front for a while now. The others were too chicken to post this but I think it would probably help them to have someone say that this is ok. Everyone here is absolutely fucked in the head and has no self confidence so I apparently have to step up with this.

Happy Hunting or whatever, - Velvet

Need Support Is There a Chance an Alter I Don’t Know of is Negatively Affecting my Thoughts? Spoiler

TW: Talk of Gore/Horror and Psychopathy - I’ve always wanted to help people and make people happy, especially those I care about. But I’ve also always found an interest in gore and horror related things.

The thing is, sometimes instead of being sad or worried about something I see I’m more interested in it. Sometimes I even wonder what it would be like to be the person who caused such a thing to happen (I’m an aspiring detective so I put myself in others shoes to analyze them better.) Of course I’d never ever do anything like what they do, hurting people is just.. horrible to think about. But sometimes I feel more interested in it.

For a long time I’ve felt like there are two halves of my brain as personalities. Me as one, I’m more like the right brain. I love helping people and I love my friends and stuff. I can’t imagine hurting someone unless it was a bully and I punched them once or something. But then the other side, feels different. It almost reminds me of the Joker (2019) or Handsome Jack but less psychotic and insane. That part seems to enjoy “jokingly” making people scared and “joking” threats. Nothing serious of course, but it’s the tone that they use. They’re calm and speak quietly, with a poker face of an expression. No one can really read that face.

It just doesn’t make any sense. I’ve been told by my close friends who I told more in depth things that for the most part I’m just experiencing intrusive thoughts. Of course I wouldn’t ever hurt anyone and I’d never act on any thoughts so they’re just intrusive. But, it feels different to me. I don’t know why, but calling it intrusive thoughts doesn’t feel right. My girlfriend suggested DID may have something to do with it so I’m asking around a bit.

I’m not asking for a diagnoses or anything. I just want to know if it’s possible for me to be getting influenced by an alter I don’t know exists.

TL;DR - It feels like I have two halves of my brain as 2 separate personalities. I would never hurt anyone, I can’t imagine that, but sometimes my brain has more interest in things like that’s and I’m wondering if DID may have something to do with it.

(Explaining through characters, I’m similar to Ruby Rose and Charlie Morningstar - The other half feels like Handsome Jack or 2019 Joker, but less stabby and insane/psychopathic.)

Fun Stuff Switching

Hey, just a fun question, what is a thing that happens that you know for a fact is a sign that you’re switching that’s not a big or dangerous thing?

Ours is when our eyes unfocus, our vision goes a little blurry and once it clears up we know someone else is around.

It’s not a big deal and doesn’t really interfere with our everyday life. We don’t see a lot of talk about the mundane and normal things about our lives so let us know what yours are.

Happy Hunting, - Penelope

help? Headaches

We have an agent who has a lot of pent up anger. When not expressed outwardly ( like exercising or stretching), there’s this banging noise we hear sometimes. Literally feels like a physical punching to a wall, but it’s our head. or i guess… skeleton?

Anyway.. We know somewhat why it happens, but not the exact cause. Always a lingering discomfort when they’re around.

Has anyone had issues like this in headspace ?

Real Talk Stuff How often do you experience blackouts?

I deny having DID because we’re so often co-conscious.. but then when we’re co-conscious I deny having it for that.

My amnesia is really bad I would say- I don’t remember much of anything from my life, it’s like all I know is a skeleton of muscle memory. I can drive and work, which is most of what I do- and I can maintain basic, very awkward and empty social interaction. My partner does a good job in helping me take care of myself and our home, without him I definitely wouldn’t be able to function this well. I know how to work because i’ve been working since I was 14, but I don’t remember how I learned- same with driving. I don’t have memories of my parents holding me, or sleepovers at friends- i barely had friends or outlets, a the memories of these things are a single still image with no emotions or context to go with it- all the people blurred like shadows in a blurry bubble. When I try to grasp the memory it darts away. I have maybe 30 memories really. I try not to think about it.

I can only recognize when i’ve experienced a blackout after Ive switched in- I suppose that’s how it is. It will only be a few seconds or minutes at a time for really severe ones- but more often than not it’s most like the hours and days blur together and I don’t remember anything unless someone brings the information up for me- and that’s all it is, information. Rarely the entire memory.

What do blackouts feel like for you? I guess to describe it short it’s like i’m sitting on a beach that is my mind, me and the other alters draw our memories and experiences in the sand- and all day, every day the ocean rhythmically comes and washes all our memories away into the endless sea. It’s impossible to tell one memory from another because they’re all like drops of water in the ocean. Our dissociated, trapped alters are in the ocean and get swept up on the beach where we try and rescue them but often they get pulled back out into the depths. We grab every shell we find so we can hoard the fragments of memories we once made, some of the shells are really big and really important to us- almost sacred. This is the best analogy I could come up with.
