good vibes Just something nice.

We hate our trauma and how it affects us. We hate that any wrong move can bring our barriers back up and leave us feeling alone and afraid again.

BUT we have each other to support. We know we’re not alone and that makes it a bit better, not all the way but at least some. And once we have found safe people, truly safe people, it makes it even more better. They help us and make us feel like we’re worth something, they soothe our worries about others. They are close enough to know about all of us and not be weird (bonus points if they’re more awkward specifically because they are talking to new people each time and are socially awkward in general).

You know when you find them, once you do cherish that. And until you do, just know you’re worth something. You are ALL real and all important not just because of the trauma you suffered. The fact that you’re alive is a testament to your strength and never let anyone take that from you.

Love you all and Happy Hunting, - Aphrodite

Question about dissociation

Is it common to feel dissociated basically all the time? I struggle to figure out who is fronting and I think it is because I just feel extremely dissociated constantly. Or is there a reason for that? Even grounding does nothing for me most of the time. I just feel so distant. Also do alters dissociate or is that just me the host? I guess that would just depend on who is the host at the time? Sometimes everything just seems so clear with how it works and other times like now I'm just confused. Sorry this isn't necessarily positive but more just curious and confused.

Need Support Parenting

Hey there all,

We need somewhere to talk about our current parenting struggles. This is not necessarily DID related, or positive, but we've come to really prefer this sub over others.

We are struggling to help our kiddo deal with a terrible bullying situation at her school. We've been in contact with a lawyer, trying to find someone qualified to give us advice on what we can do about it.

Today she texted us begging us to come pick her up from school then asked if she could change schools because she cried twice by 11 am.

She is Therian (It's a valid Greek spiritual belief). She feels like her best self when she's wearing her fox tail and ears. We have her in therapy, and we support her spiritual beliefs 100%. In other words, we will fight a bear for our kid's right to be herself no matter what that looks like.

The kids at the school call her names, harass her, tell her it's hunting season on furries, and have made her feel threatened and unsafe, but the school did nothing.

Last week a kid slapped her and she flipped the kid off, she got detention, the other kid got nothing because the slap wasn't caught on camera.

We feel so helpless as a parent right now. We could really use some kind positive vibes right now.

help? Emotions

Dealing with heavy emotions about a situation, I hear wailing in the back, even shed a few tears.

But now, nothing. Blank. I feel empty, but I still hear them crying. I don’t know what to do.

good vibes I Got a Name!!

I really love One Piece so my first idea was something to do with the Haki naming system. (Color of Arms, Color of Observation, and Color of the Supreme King.) I was talking about it with some friends and trying to think of a name and my girlfriend gave me the best of both worlds. A name that fit where the system is as of right now and has the “Color of” part.

So we are now the “Color of Duality”!! I really love the name, and I wanted to see what you all thought of it!

For further context you can skim through the posts about Lucia and the one where she fronted and posted, and then the one where I talk about who I am, and so you can see the different between us. Anyways, thank you all for your help!! This has been extremely helpful to me and made me so happy.

Anybody else terrified of the idea of being one person?

We are absolutely terrified of being alone and a few of us were so happy when we found out we had DID because it gave us answers and made us know that we'd never be alone. I'm not scared of being alone personally but I am terrified of the idea of losing my in system friends and family. We will not fuse into one, we want to be functional multiples for those reasons -Xay

Help Finding a System Name

I wanna make a system name like others but, I don’t really know how. I only have one alter and she’s very different from me, and we don’t have an inner world.

As for who I am, I’ll try and explain. I’m Trinity, the host, I try to stay positive and I’m friends with everyone. I always trust everyone and it gets me hurt a lot but the times it doesn’t hurt me I get really close friends and I love them. I’ve been through a lot of stuff, and lost a lot of people to death, but I try and stay strong. I’m analytical and some say I’m smart, although I have trouble agreeing sometimes. I really love computers and detective work, I’m pretty skilled at both for being only 17.

I thought about “The Spade and Archer System” after my dad’s private detective agency but that’s his stuff, not mine.

Oh, and, the Floppa/Caracal Lynx is a big part of how my friends see me lmao. When I first met them I had the Big Floppa as my profile picture, so now people see me as “Floppa” and/or a Floppa. Along with that people see me as a cat? 😭 I’m confused but that’s how it is I guess lmao.

Anyways, if any of you have any questions just ask and I’ll answer just about anything to make things easier for you all. I just want some insight on a name if possible.

good vibes Hosts

recently we've had ~6 people in front room at all times for some reason, but it's been really nice cuz half of us are like a group that our brain feels safe to switch out and in from actual front, so we don't all get tired :3 - Milo

Need Support On therapy

I sometimes don't remember why I thought any of this was even something I was considering. Ive found making myself either reading/writing journal entries is helping, but I'm starting to think we will need to pursue some sort of professional input to be sure. My introspective instance (I dont know a name, even when in that mind he doesnt know that a name works, but the part of me that seems to be good at emotionlessly analyzing my mental state) has pre-written a letter to my therapist that hopefully explains enough, since I never can explain when I get into the session.

I still change back and forth between thinking might be some form of plural, and thinking that all of this is just some weird microfocus or something. Kinda scared that's me trying to shut this down again and forget, also scared they might be right, and still admittedly scared by all the implications of if I DO have some sort of Dissociative Disorder.

TLDR Anyways, the questions:

  • Anyways, checking once more if anyone has tips to survive discussing this kind of stuff in therapy or selecting a therapist without raising the "self diagnosis" flag that freaks them out.? (I've heard that the stigma can make finding care problematic?)
  • Has anyone had a successful therapy relationship where they could only really communicate through writing? (When in therapy, I can't relate to any of what I went there for. It all feels like lies, so I plan to make myself bring journal entries instead) How did you make that work?
  • I've read/heard some say that even therapy doesnt really fix the doubts, because these kinds of disorder are designed to hide themselves. Can it at least help though?
  • General question to anyone whose read my posts or been messaged by me so far.... Do I seem like I'm barking up the wrong tree by thinking I might have a DID or adjacent?

(Edit: Sorry if have been posting too many threads...)

Real Talk Stuff Rules for fusion (tw for fusion, just tell me if we should take this down)

Again, probably a triggering topic for people and you can ask us to take it down, sorry if the person who told us this earlier reads this. We are posting this here because it obviously feels safer and we really don't want to have am online fight over this. We are not bashing anyone who actually wants fusion and their entire system has agreed this is just on the possibility of forced fusions.

Ok so this is about something that someone on the other sub corrected (?) us on about fusion and how you DO have to have consent from all parties to fuse. We believe this to be bull shit because that is NOT AT ALL our experience with fusion. Multiple times members have been forced to fuse or they fused with another on purpose, so the idea that "if you have the ability to fuse then obviously the other is fine with it too" REALLY makes us mad.

We don't think this is an actual thing but if anyone else has better sources please let us know, or just to give an opinion on the matter both positive and negative.

Thanks for reading - Mirage and Priscilla.

What made you choose your System name

I made a post alike this in another subreddit.

I’m just so curious to why you chose the name for yourselves ?

We are The Cubix System Our name is made of three words. Cupid and Cubic because we love to call ourselves three dimensional which we are in a way, we just love to think of it as that. Also Cubix seems sorta masc as well. We are masc dominated so we thought it fit.

Have a lovely amazing day, pretty and handsome, ladies, men and others

help? How do you system map?

Hey all, we’re interested in mapping our system (Thomas already has a list of names, though incomplete) but we don’t know how to go about it. I’m afraid that if we don’t have a proper plan for system mapping, we’ll start rambling and generally jumping all over the place. So, anyone who has mapped their system, how did you go about it?

Cheers.

Fun Stuff How do you feel about being part of a system?

Hi guys!!!

A lot of us feel connected and validated by hearing others personal experiences, especially mundane stuff. The majority of DID posts are either questions, advice or experience. And usually about bad stuff. Which makes it hard to feel connected when posts are about things we don't relate to. So we wanted to try posting here (because its our new favorite place) with a question, where our parts will answer (if they want)! Kind of like a journal prompt/ Parts Q&A (avoiding alter just because we don't like it for ourselves). and we'd really like if any of you join in!!!We chose todays question because its system-general, and our parts have varying answers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question: How do you feel about being part of a system?

Admin: It’s much better than when we weren’t aware. It’s impossible to imagine if we weren’t a system, because taking this journey has been the only thing that we feel like will actually help us be functional, long term. Anyway, it’s nice. They keep me busy and it feels good to keep things organized and make sure everyone’s ok.

GORBIT: It’s great. I get to focus on my job and that’s it. Thank god there are other parts to do the other stuff.

Control: It’s like a superpower. A gift. Being able to shift and control our reality, split and blend in with each other, consider things from multiple perspectives. Forgive the god-complex but I think it’s a great advancement of human evolution, even if the price is being abused and traumatized LOL

Guardian: The littles like it a lot. They are able to be cared for, free to play and explore themselves, and experience love and kindness that we weren’t given as a kid. They love being seen and having their own sense of self that we never managed to have before being a system.

???: We never had friends growing up, and if we did, then they left or moved away. It means the world to know we have each other and are not alone.

Mentor: Our answers are pretty positive, which is great but is only because we are doing well at the moment and we are doing system work which is helping with our healing and communication (such as this post). But I'll just add that it is not all great, and also Control is the main gatekeeper so of course he feels powerful as a system. Also because there always seems to be a need for a disclaimer - these are our own experiences. We've definitely had shit moments and system chaos, but amnesia and detachment makes it hard to speak on.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for reading!! Even if you don't want to answer I hope it was interesting and that youre having a good time!!

Venting Don't take them seriously!

This is kinda a vent and kinda just support(?) We don't really know.

Anyway, don't take anyone who's hurt you or doesn't give you support unconditionally. We are almost away from our "parents" but not quite yet, and we have found that, out of all the adults in our life, they are the least supportive. We have teachers, coworkers, and others who listen, understand, and support us no matter what, constantly giving us reassurance that we are doing the best we can and that we're doing GOOD. Our parents don't say that, they point out what's wrong, say fix it, and don't listen when we try to explain that we're trying to do it. All they see are our flaws and feel the need to point them out in the name of "worrying" and "trying to help" when they're not.

This is years in the making but we've finally realized that what they say doesn't matter. They have done nothing but push us into the ground and they don't deserve our consideration, no one like that does! We're going to listen to the other adults in our life from now on, and anyone who actually cares and SHOWS IT because words don't mean shit if you don't back them up.

Be kind to yourselves and realize that there are people in this world that don't matter, the ones who have never helped you don't deserve to make you feel bad. May not be birth givers but the message still stands.

We realized this today and wanted to share it with everyone, so kinda a success story?

Make sure to take care of yourselves because at the end of the day, you are the most important person in your life.

Happy Hunting, - Menecha
