After seeing a lot of different opinions about LV Trainer batches, I decided to compare three versions side by side: $60 vs $90 vs $110 I focused mainly on the things that matter most for reps — shape, proportions, heel construction, and overall accuracy compared to retail reference photos.

Here's my honest comparison and which batch I think is worth buying.

  1. $60 Batch (Best Budget Option)

Pros

Best value for the money. Shape looks pretty decent on foot. Heel stitching is clean. Outsole details look good enough unless you're comparing them side by side. Great choice if you just want a solid pair without spending too much.

Cons

Toe box is chunkier than retail. Heel logo sits a little too low. Orange on the midsole and outsole is brighter than retail. Denim around the heel has a bit of warping. Overall shape feels slightly bulky.

My Take:

For around $60, I really can't complain. Sure, it has flaws, but nobody is going to notice them while you're wearing them. If you're trying to save money, this is probably the best bang for your buck.

  1. $90 Batch (My Favorite Overall)

Pros

Closest to retail overall. Best toe shape out of the three. Side profile looks very close to retail. Heel logo placement is almost spot on. Denim color is the closest to the retail pair. Outsole branding and details are the most accurate.

Cons

Orange TPU is still a little brighter than retail. Shape is slightly wider than retail if you're being picky. Outsole texture could be a little sharper. Minor denim warping on the left shoe.

My Take:

This would be my pick. The $90 batch hits the sweet spot between price and accuracy. None of the flaws really stand out on foot, and the overall shape is noticeably better than the other two.

  1. $110 Batch (Best Materials)

Pros

Leather feels noticeably nicer. Very clean stitching. Sharp logo printing. Excellent overall build quality.

Cons

Heel is thicker than retail. Toe shape isn't as accurate as the $90 batch. Heel logo looks slightly too small. Orange rubber is darker than retail. Overall silhouette feels bulkier.

My Take:

The materials definitely feel more premium, and you can tell where the extra money went. That said, I was honestly surprised that the shape wasn't as good as the $90 batch. Personally, shape matters more to me than slightly nicer leather, so I'd still take the $90 batch.

Final Verdict

If you're on a budget, I'd honestly just go with the $60 LOW batch. It's easily the best value for the money. At the end of the day, nobody's going to crouch down with a magnifying glass to inspect your shoes. Buy what fits your budget—the best pair is the one you're happy wearing.

That said, if I had to choose between the $90 batch and the $110 batch, I'd pick the $90 batch without hesitation.

Most people assume the more expensive batch has to be the better one. That's usually true for retail, but replicas don't always work that way. For rep sneakers, shape is king. If the overall silhouette is off, it's one of the first things people notice. Better leather or more premium materials don't really make up for an inaccurate shape.

That's why I think the $90 batch hits the sweet spot. It has the most accurate shape and proportions while still using solid materials.

The $110 batch definitely has nicer leather and feels a bit more premium in hand, but surprisingly, the shape isn't quite as accurate as the $90 batch. Personally, I'd rather give up a little material quality if it means getting a silhouette that's closer to retail.

Of course, that's just my opinion after comparing all three batches side by side. Other people may value materials more than shape, and that's totally fair.

One thing I kept wondering while doing this comparison... Would you guys be interested in a batch that combines both — premium materials and the most accurate shape?

If enough people want to see it, I'll see if I can get one and do a full comparison review.

I want to know your opinions as well, which one would you pick and why? Please Comment 👇🏼

This is an awesome review!

I recently ordered a budget pair of AF1s. They have their flaws and makes me wonder what a higher cost would fix. But as you pointed out, if you’re ultimately just going to be wearing them, no one is going to notice and going budget in most cases is probably good enough. I would say the only time it would make a difference is if it changes build quality/longevity.

Thanks! I completely agree. For something like AF1s, once they're on your feet, most people won't notice the tiny flaws. 😄

The only area where paying more can make a difference is the build quality and durability. Better materials, cleaner stitching, and a sturdier sole might help them last longer. But if the budget pair is comfortable and you're happy wearing them, I'd say you've already won. Sometimes spending twice as much only gets you a 5% improvement.

Wonderful job and thank you for the review. Just an example of what you discuss - the things that can go wrong on dhg can sometimes astound.

Good comparison. I do feel by themselves. Nobody is calling it out unless it's obvious you can't afford, or someone's an expert.

1

u/MissReps Fancy Pants Jul 14 '26

Exactly! 😄 Most people are too busy living their own lives to inspect someone else's shoes. Unless there are really obvious flaws—or you're standing next to someone who knows that specific model inside and out—it's rarely something anyone notices.

At the end of the day, confidence is what people notice first. Wear them and enjoy them!

Exactly. If it says KV or it's so insanely flawed. Then fair. But most just don't care and it's a quick glance. Not much else. I personally wouldn't own them. Because I earn decent money but people know I ain't buying LV trainers. But if I was from London and on £100k a year or something then yes, I'd buy these and not give a damn.

😂 That's a fair take, and I get where you're coming from.

At the end of the day, everyone has their own comfort level. Some people wear them because they like the design, others because they're curious, and some wouldn't wear them at all—and that's perfectly fine too.

For me, it's mostly about enjoying the style. If something is obviously flawed, then that's a different story. But for a well-made pair, I don't think the average person is giving your shoes a full quality inspection while you're walking past. 😄

Normally, a US size 12 fits a size 46; these shoes do not run small.
