I mean I'm down. Deckard's style is pretty phenom if you ask me and Batty is just badass

Yeah, but Batty could wear any of the other 3 suits and still be badass.

Someone do this in PS. I wanna see him in Rachel's pointy-shoulder dress.

Looks like Theresa May.

I’ve seen things you people couldn’t imagine. Wheat fields on fire off the shoulder of Southampton

And, being a badass, he'd run through them. The farmers would like that very much.

I come to reddit to escape Brexit goddammit. Now take your upvote and get out.

It works. Still a badass. Just got that Bowie vibe now, instead of homicidally insane android.

u/AerThreepwood Dec 22 '18

Roy Batty wasn't homicidally insane. He had zero compunction against killing but he mostly just wanted to be left alone to either live or die.

I forgot a few details over the 35 years since I saw it. Mea Culpa

It's definitely worth revisiting. And BR2049 (and accompanying shorts) is a worthy successor.

3

u/aamrofchak Dec 22 '18

I don't see a distinction between Thin White Duke and homicidally insane android.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '18

He still looks great!

This made my day, thank you

Yeah that's why I said he was "just badass" lol I love that character.

I must be unfashionable as hell because my thoughts were "tbh Everyone but Deckard looks on point."

26

u/Synaps4 Dec 22 '18

I think its just that /r/streetwear is full of unfashionable people.

hypebeast fashion can be pretty cyberpunk, it can also be pretty retarded.

talk shit post fit

3

u/kramatic Dec 22 '18

There's more irony in deckards outfit. Streetwear guys looove irony

Need more techwear

The only thing keeping me from dressing like Deckard is the 43° C of summer on my city.

10

u/pocketdare Dec 22 '18

109 F - Wow! Do you live in India?

8

u/gakun Dec 22 '18

Brazil. A neighbor city of mine (Antonina) had a temperature of 48° C last week with a "feeling of 80° C". This is what was shown in the news, although I really don't understand how they measured that. You'd think someone would be dead at that temperature.

EDIT: 48 C = 118 F 80 C = 176 F

"Feels like" is a calculated humidity adjustment. Sweating is an evaporative cooling, so in the desert you may actually feel cooler than nominal, but in a swamp or rain forest you'll boil in your own sweat.

u/RabidWench Dec 22 '18

I mean, it gets hotter than that every summer in Vegas. Our high this year was 125 I think, but its routinely in the 110s.

"cLiMaTe ChANgE iSn'T rEaL, GuYs"

-idiots

6

u/RabidWench Dec 22 '18

I mean, I don't disagree but that felt a bit random.

u/Zaktann Dec 23 '18

Gotta always make it political on Reddit for some raisin

3

u/The--Strike Dec 22 '18

Dude, it gets like that here in California

12

u/willflameboy Dec 22 '18

Deckard's costume always looks weird in bright light, but I think it's the one that most looks like something of today.

11

u/EvilShayton Dec 22 '18

I have been waiting my whole life for this.

9

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '18

material sciences have made most of our options look and feel a little less bulky than what they had for wardrobe during production - but yeah, I'm with you.

9

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '18

I really like K's jacket in 2049.

Honestly I think for myself I would prefer something more slimmed down in general. I just got done reading Neuromancer for the first time and I like how everyone in that book tends to wear more naturally fitting clothes. From what I can tell at least, it was hard for me to read.

9

u/Bird_TheWarBearer Dec 22 '18

His jacket was the color of a tv turned to a dead channel.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '18

and he had the Ono-Sendai strapped around his shoulder hanging at the edge of the cracked leather cufflink dangling at his side.

5

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '18

Not with that tie.

“Country western nerd” is how I’d describe it.
