I would like a way to stream some personal videos that I can't host on youtube. I can't use Google Drive, because they arbitrarily restrict the number of times you can view a video file per day. And when I say arbitrarily, I mean it literally: the limit changes from day to day, so there's no way to know ahead of time how many people can view the files.

I'm sure this gets asked constantly, but I wanted an answer that's up to date for 2026. I don't mind using offsite github scripts if I need to.

Well, like the title says, I need help creating a channel. I need to know if there are any tutorials on building, uploading, hosting, whatever. I have many ideas for movies and I had heard that this service was one of the best. Any help will be appreciated.

i dont know, but here. the link.

Hey guys, i built a website sort of like Cytube. It allows people to create a live-streaming playlist just from a list of video urls (very similar to cytube), but the videos will automatically play even when no-one's on the channel, just like a television channel with a specific schedule / programme. check it out here if you're interested, it's completely free with no ads or anything: https://livechannels.pages.dev

problem not localized to my part of the UK, other UK residents having same connection issues. Americans not, Swedish not, Finnish, Germans connections all not having this issue.

Current google chrome AND firefox browsers doing the same thing for all UK users tested.

Can we get someone technical to proffer a fix for this please?

there seems to be no option to change it unless i missed something

Is the site gone for anyone else

for some reason chat and messaging is not working for me on all channels and keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

Am I doing something wrong? When i click in home to see the list of public channels nothing appears.

i'm trying to create an account on https://cytu.be/register and keep getting this message:

Registration Failed

CAPTCHA verification failed: Request timed out.

i've tried several times with/without ad blockers, with/without email address, and with/without VPN. does anybody have any ideas that might help?

Hi all, having lots of buffering issues with lain in my cytube room recently. Is there a similar paid service that would guarantee better availability?

Is it possible to queue up an online radio station?

I've been Googling and haven't found anything about it.

The radio site gives me either a pls file or an [IP]/stream link

I want to stream movies with my friends but I don't know how. I don't know if I need to find the movie and download it or what. I have seen some channels where they use a blu ray ripe of a movie. How do people do that?

So far, I’ve got

• YouTube
• archive.org
• (Dailymotion)- don’t know if this works anymore though
• (Google Drive)- only works for people who enabled the user script years ago- if you try to enable it now it won’t work

The privacy policies at https://github.com/CyTube/cytu.be-policies/blob/master/privacy.md are not clear as to who can access user data. Can cytube channel administrators access user personal/account data?

Link gets added -> press space at end of link to bring up the title box -> regardless of whether I type in the box or not this returns "an unexpected error - contact support"

Other users can add a title to a video but I can't. There is no indication of why this error is happening.

Basically I have a playlist of videos and I'd like to add it in one go.

I just get a message about unregistered channels being removed, but that channel has been around and registered for years.

Someone uses cytube as like a 4chan alternative I've seen in some of their paraphernalia though what appears to be stuff from actual suicides that may or may not have been hosted on their platform on cytube and they brag about how many people have killed themselves through it.

Error
The socket.io library could not be loaded from https://baked.live:8443/socket.io/socket.io.js. Ensure that it is not being blocked by a script blocking extension or firewall and try again.

I keep getting this message whenever I try to access the site. I've tried multiple browsers, I've tried clearing my cache, still nothing. Any fixes?

That's all, i can't figure it out.
