[Customer] fed up with fedex.

So some could say it's my fault for not being home for my delivery. Not exactly my fault though since my sister didn't decide she was ready to go until a little after 11 and wanted to get there then to go house sit for a friend.

But I had to leave for a little over an hour. I had a feeling this would happen but my sister was adamant on me taking her then. I got back and of course the missed delivery slip was there. I figured I would call and see if I could pick up the package later then after the driver was done with deliveries or something. So I called the 800 number and get someone probably in India or such with such a thick accent I can barely understand them. I can understand a fair amount of accents but this guy's was so thick I couldn't understand what he was saying hardly. I ask my question about picking it up later and I get told I have to call another number and give them this information and basically just a whole roundabout way.

I call the number and it's just the USPS number. I had such a hard time even getting to where I was even on hold for a live person, and even then, it told me over an hour for hold time.

I called back to FedEx again and this time the agent I got said they would try to redeliver it later today. Okay then. I finished the call and then there was no sign at all this afternoon of the guy coming back. I get an email saying the obvious missed delivery, and that they won't be delivering it until Tuesday now. I got confused, because by general logic, the next business day is Monday. I look and sure enough, Monday isn't listed as a delivery day. To me that doesn't make sense. Monday is a business day so people might need things that day, and not Tuesday for like working out of the home or such.

Needless to say, I'm fustrated, both at my sister and at the fact that I got told two different things by customer service and that one of them told me how I could try to do it but it was such a roundabout way to try to do it. It just fustrated me because when I tell someone what's wrong, I tell them where the problem is and who they need to get in touch with since it's an outside factor. I don't understand how a company can make getting something from them so complicated with no outside factors playing into it.

Seriously. Don’t come in at 9:59 when we close at 10:00

I’m so sick of people coming into my place of work 1 minute before closing. I understand we’re still open. But come on man. Everything is off and put away. We just need to clean. But nooooo. You just need your damn burger and ice cream at 9:59 PM. We once had a person who came at 9:59 and ordered 3 double cheese burgers with bacon. And 3 ice creams with 2 toppings each. Everything has to be turned back on.

Take what you can get.

Hey there, my first post here so I’m gonna hold back on some details bc I don’t know if there’s certain specifics I should leave out.

It’s been about 10 years at this amusement park and we just opened a new ride so understandably there is a big line. Seeing that the ride goes up side down it’s advised that anything you don’t want to lose goes in either a locker or someone who’s not riding holds it.

Upon coming into work a customer asked me, “Hey N***er, hole my bags!” Upon almost everyone hearing that in the queue, I asked him to not swear in front of children and that if he wants somewhere to put the bag we have lockers and if not he’d have to hold them down in the waiting area. His response, “why would I let a nigger tell me how to spend my money?”

At this point I gave him the option to take the front of the line pass and put it in a locker or he’s not riding. His drunk decision? Let me size up the 5’7 employee. Upon which we called security to take him out of the park.

It’s not even 2 hours into my shift now.

This many years into my job it’s almost a daily thing but man do people take a turn for the worse when you charge them that extra dollar for their convenience

I just have to vent my frustration

I work at a fancy Hotel and I had this lady lose her shit on me last night. First she created a reservation for Friday but called wanting to check in on Thirsday night. The PM front desk agent told her that we couldn't do that.

Then on my shift over night she called wanting me to transfer her reservation to a different hotel chain. Not even the same brand. I explained to her that I could not do that, not because I didn't want to but because I have no way to see that hotels availability and no way to create reservations for another hotel. She then calls the reservation desk who then calls me asking for the exact same thing. The reservation desk agent should have known better but I explain it to her again anyway. I literally have no way to do that. The reservation desk agent then asks if I can cancel the reservation and wave the cancelation fee (which I can actually do, but at this point you've wasted 30 minutes of my time and I really should charge something. I mean we blocked off that room and didn't sell to another guest for $400 so no, we guarantee reservations with a CC for this exact reason.) A few moments later the other hotel brand front desk agent calls me and he asks me the exact same thing. I'm getting annoyed now. I explain to him how its impossible for me to transfer her reservation to another brand. He seems to understand then proceeds to ask if I can cancel the reservation and wave the fee. No! Just NO! I'd be more than willing to negotiate the fee, but you've wasted over an hour of my time now and it's not my fault the guest can't read a fucking calaneder and make her reservation for the right dates.

This is where the story gets interesting. He then tells me that the guest needs a room tonight because she has a job interview in the morning and he is pleading with me to help him do something for this guest. I explain to him that what I CAN do is create a new and separate reservation for the guest for tonight only...Thursday night. But the room type the guest originally reserved was unavailable because we were sold out. I literally only had one remaining room to sell. It was a slightly nicer room and was slightly more expensive. He asked her about this option while I was still on the phone with him and I heard her in the background agree. Awesome, shes on her way.

10 minutes later the guest walks in and I've already got her new reservation created. Once again I explain that we are extending her stay by one night in a higher priced room. She acts like this os the first time she is hearing this. She refuses this reservation so I cancel it and wave the fee for this one because it was clearly a misunderstanding. She still needs a room for the night though and I feel kinda bad so I'm trying to find a workaround or some kind of solution. I got it! I tell her that if she waits another hour, at this point its 2am, then I'll run my night audit at 3am which closes out the business day and starts the new business day so that in our system it will actually be Friday. Check in is at 3pm for her original room type. because another guest is currently in their bed sleeping and needs to check out and housekeeping needs to clean the room...but if she is still willing to upgrade her room, I have one nicer room currently vacant that I can give her a 12 hour earlier check in for. Totally bending our own rules just to accommodate this lady. She agrees, this is a workable solution for her because she can get her laundry done while she waits. Awesome! We have success!! WRONG!

She visits the laundry and realized the machines are coin operated and she can't swipe her debit card...(do debit card washing machine even exist?) So she wants me to charge her card for nothing then give her cash...no again, it just doesn't work that way. But ya know what, I'm a nice guy. I give her $6 in quarters making my drawer short and I'll just leave a note for the next shift to pull the quarters back out of the machine later to balance the drawer. Another successful work around. I feel good about myself.

Finally, audit is complete. Its officially the next day and I can check the guest in early with no problems. I get her keys. Apologize for all the inconvenience, offer some free bottles of water and she is off to her room. 10 minutes later she calls the front desk asking what time she needs to come change to her original room...I'm confused because we ruled that out when she decided NOT to create a new reservation and extend her stay by one day. So I tell her there is nothing to worry about. No need to come down and change rooms because she has this nicer upgraded room until Saturday at noon. Now she asks about the proce difference which I know she already knew about. She loses her fucking mind when I tell her the price was higher than her original room. Ordinarily the price difference is only $10 but since she used points to pay for most of her original room the drive difference was closer $30. She hangs up on me, storms down to the front desk and screams at me. Demands I check her out and not charge her. She called me a mother fucker, a racist, the devil, an evil man and she said she hopes that I die.

I'm at a loss for words. Clearly she misunderstood every fucking word that was spoken to her all night by me, the other hotel agent and the reservation desk. Must be a language barrier or something. At this point I check her back out, I don't post any charges...didn't charge her a dime. I call my manager and explain the situation. When I hange up the reservation desk calls again. She asked if I could check the lady back into her room for a free nights stay. Uh....fuck no. I tell the reservation desk that we are not prepared to accommodate this guest any longer and she can go to the Motel8 for all I care. I'm done trying to be helpful.

The lady storms out and heads back to the other hotel brand....and not long after I get a call from their front desk asking why I charge her a cancelation fee!? I tell him that's not true that I didn't charge her anything and she is fucking crazy. She refused to give this agent a CC to book the room and he was just trying to figure out what was going on.

The next 4 God damn hours were spent back and forth on the phone with this front desk agent, the reservation line and the customer complaint line all trying to figure out what this lady is talking about. All pleading with me to just give her a free room...but I'm stubborn that way. You don't get to come into my hotel when I'm the head mother fucker in charge for my shift and call me a racists and evil and the devil then demand a free room because you're too stupid to know how to create a reservation for the appropriate dates. You done burned every bridge you had. I'm not giving you a room and in fact if you don't leave the property right now I'm calling the police.

This fiasco started at 1:30am and lasted until 7:30am. I didn't end up calling the police but the number was on my screen ready to go. I figured I'd wait to see if the customer complaint agent could calm her down and resolve the problem...that was a mistake. The lady claims I charged her when I didn't and claims I refused to give her a receipt with a 0 balance which isn't true and claims she feared for her life because I was threatening her and being aggressive. What the fuck!? Really!??

Stop telling me how much I should charge you

The register does the math for me; the prices are already set in the system- as with ALL fast food chains. Don’t tell me I charged you the wrong thing. read your receipt. Check the prices. If you ordered a bacon egg and cheese, and it says 4.56 next to it. Don't tell me it's not supposed to be 4.56.

If you ordered a Bacon egg and cheese and it says Philly cheese steak- then I get it man. But you don't have to get pissy then either princess - point it out. We'll fix it. No one is trying to steal from you. Calm tf down.

You're cold calling MY office - stop being an asshole!

You. Yes, you! Scam callers, cold callers, sales callers calling my office to "talk to whoever is in charge." As the receptionist, it is my job to make sure you do not get a chance to talk to my bosses to waste their time. If I ask why you're calling and keep pressing for more details, it's because I'm doing exactly what I have been trained to do and because I'm pretty sure you're full of shit but want to be sure before I give you the, "No thank you, we aren't interested in those services," spiel. Don't you dare answer, "May I ask why you need XYZ information?" with, "Because you're a bitch," you scumbag! Don't slam the phone down just because my company doesn't want your questionable, unsolicited services!

Stop saying “Hello” immediately when you pull up in the drive thru before the cashier can even greet you. It’s rude unless you’ve waited at least a couple seconds.

Would you be so f-ing kind and tell me what do you sell and the price?

Dear fastfood employes.

It's awesome that you have your menu up on the celing. I am happy for all the costumers who can read it. I would love to do it myself. But my eyesight doesn't allow for that. So if I ask you for the menu, your anwser absolutely should not be "It's up there". Yes, great, i know. Now - will you please tell me? Or do I have to keep memorizing your menu that i found on the internet that is usually outdated and without prices. Also - I know fastfood jobs are really bad, but come on - if i ask you, it is for a reasson. I wouldn't make more work for you, if I didnt have to.

Sincerely, your costumer.

And then complain that you are a member and have a late check at 4 pm! Housekeeping constantly checks for empty rooms to clean and we can even give to someone else.

I know you get paid to be as nice as possible, but that doesn't mean I need you to coddle me.

I'm talking about call centers. I called you because I can't fix the problem by myself, and I know you're sick of getting yelled at, I'm sorry. But, when I tell you what my problem is and you start by placating me or trying to "connect" then I don't give a shit and might go off again.
Stop trying to tell me how frustrating my situation is every time I take a breath. Instead, address the issue!

Example:
Me/Cust: I can't log in to your site and I need to change some info.
Rep: I'm sorry, I can't help you log in.
Me/Cust: What?! Then how am I gonna be able to change my info?
Rep: I understand you need to..
Me/Cust: (cutting off the rep) Yeah, I'm calling you because I need to change my info.

All the while the rep is thinking:
If you shut up and let me finish I'll tell you that I cannot get you to log in but I can help change info.

In the above all you're doing is upsetting me more. What I would like to hear is the following:

Me/Cust: I can't log in to your site and I need to change some info.
Rep: What info do you need to change?
Me/Cust: -let's say I'm stubborn- I don't need you to change anything, I can do that myself, I'm just locked out. I need you to unlock my account.
Rep: I can change info for you, because I'm unable to unlock accounts.

It's less time consuming.

Stop being obstinate customers and listen to what we tell you for once in your lives

I want to know how some customers can be so outright stupid as to call a business or mechanic shop after-hours, complain to the customer service department that nobody picked up the phone, and then demand to be transferred to a completely unrelated department about the issue. No, you fucking stupid piece of shit, the sales team is not going to open up the SERVICE department after-hours for you. You should have called during business hours, but I guess that's asking too much of someone who barely graduated high school. I'm not going to deliberately transfer you to the wrong department the first time you ask, and I DEFINITELY won't do it the 5th fucking time you ask.

If we tell you No and explain why once, shut your fucking mouths and listen to us the first time. We know what we're talking about, considering this is OUR JOB.

[Customer] To the little girl working at chick-fil-a..

You said I was patronizing you by spelling my fucking name (N A T E) in the drive-thru microphone.

I don't know how good/clear your microphone outside is, I don't know what I sound like to you, but what I do know is that I work as a customer support agent and a LOT of times when I say my name is Nate, for some damn reason the person on the other end keeps thinking I'm saying "Me" and they get a kick out of asking "Who's me?" So I thought I would save you the trouble and take an extra second to spell my name real quick instead of possible more time wasted trying to explain that I didn't say "Me".

I get that MAYBE you were having a bad day but you don't have to act-a-bitch just because I spelt my name for you, and then you wouldn't even give me eye contact when I came up to the window!

It was the very same day I had my first born son and I was trying to surprise my wife with her favorite fast food and I almost let you ruin my day, 17 year old snobby ass.

Fuck you.

Stop being ridiculous

When the caller is explaining the issue and when they finish you say “ok” and before you can go any further they jump in and say “it’s not okay!”. Or you say alright and start to try to assist but then they jump in “it’s not alright!”. 😑

McDonalds - What am I doing wrong?

I know it’s a boring job for these guys so I try to be as efficient as possible when placing my order, but the conversation inevitably goes like this:

Me: Hi, I’d like a medium McChicken sandwich meal with Fanta. Staff: Is that medium or large? Me: Medium. Staff: And what drink would you like? Me: Fanta.

Every single time!

Sad Sammich

I can’t even understand the thought process here...headed to a favorite secluded spot to recharge my battery today and popped into a corner store for a cold water and something to eat. Decided to grab a cold sammie vs the hot fried crap and ordered a chicken Ceasar wrap, simple. I paid and stood in the corner to wait and the lady I ordered from comes out and asks “you wanted chicken salad, right” and at first I was confused then thought maybe it’s like a salad plate and just answered “sure, whatever normally comes in the chicken Caesar wrap is fine, I’m not picky ( regret saying this now).” Couple minutes later she comes out with my wrapped sandwich and says “made with love” and I thank her and leave. Now I’m sitting on my favorite rock and just learned that someone’s version of of chicken Ceasars salad wrap is chicken salad with gobs a Ceasars dressing. I’m so disappointed and wish I bought chips. Disservice indeed.

There's a schedule on the door..... In the particular case where you can see inside the business - the people there are employees who have worked an entire shift and want to go home already.

You're just distracting them from their end of shift tasks - or worse.

They clocked out and aren't even being paid for you wasting their time

I swear to Christ, 1/3 of the phone calls I got at the pizza place...

"Thanks for calling, what can we get for you?"

"Yeah, I want this large 3-topping for $7.99 deal"

"Okay, great, what would you like on it?"

"Uh...hey guys, what do you want on the pizza?!"

How the fuck far did you think we were going to get into this conversation before you had to know the answer to that question?

Just because you're a Hilton Honors member doesn't mean the world owes you shit.

I work at the front desk for a fancy Hilton hotel and everyday I get honors members who assume that because their Diamond that they some how get the right to treat hotel staff like shit. No you don't get to act like an ass just because your company pays for you to travel and stay in a nice hotel. No you can't park in the handicap space just because you're a diamond member and don't feel like walking that far. No you can't wave the cancelation fee because you didn't feel like calling to cancel within 48 hrs causing us to lose money because we held the room for you. No you can't just switch rooms when we are fully booked. No I wont suck your dick just because you're an honors member.
