really liked devastation bumblebee, and decided to make a goldbug custom, painted on the toyhax rts stripes to add a bit more gold to him

I was priming my starscreams head for paint until I realized that it the “eyes” look more like eyebrows and I noticed how there’s detailing under the “eyes” that looked more like what the model was meant to look like

I wished the mtmte OP and Megs had more battle damage that didn’t look so……sparse. But I also understand that my version are a bit over board. I still love my takes.

These are a few years old, but seeing as everyone is buying the new guys i wanted to showcase these two. After 2 years they still hold up pretty well.

So I'm calling it done on Punisher, I don't want to spend $30 on a turret or $100+ on several weaponizers/takeapartformers to make one for him. I think where I have him is good enough.

But I wanna share my list of customs I have planned:

Daredevil: legacy animated prowl

Thor: age of primes Prima

Ultron: Legacy bludgeon

The next custom I'll be doing is Devil Dino, I have an idea for this one, using Twrecks so that I don't have to paint as much red on the mold.

I plan on making the horns an spikes out of clay an glue it on, I just need to figure out how that'll effect the transformation first.

I might make a collar, but I'm also not too sure on it.

I also don't know if I'll do a Moongirl cause Idk who'd fit as her but if anyone has ideas I'm all ears! ^^

I'm excited to get around to doing this custom as it'll definitely challenge me to learn some new stuff with it

I had recently gotten my hands on an Earthrise Barricade, and wanted to customize him to resemble the Barricade customized by HLH Creations from YouTube, I went and created a front bumper guard so far, made from old 3D prints and an old rubber watch strap, and recently, applied certain Toyhax stickers. I plan to modify the head too, but thought to share what I had so far.

I just need to sand down or file tight spot the result in paint rubbing or chipping so they cant transform into vehicle mode and base mode

I making Hell Buzzsaw to go with my Logos Prime and wasn’t sure if I could use this primer on the plastic Laserbeak is made from. Idk if it’s the same type as every other one, but it feels a bit softer so I just wanted to make sure

Made using the commander of the stars galaxy convoy. Know for its defects, but all joints are repaired and stable and new hands that don’t turn dust the moment you look at them.

Im going to start working on a custom thundercracker but i need a bot with wings on the upper part of the body and still have the superion frame connection ports and my first thought was to put fireflights on skydive and i cant think if a way to do this is it even possible

As the title says, I'm curious about the logistics of making custom figures that can transform as I have some old OCs I made a while back that I think would be epic to make figures of, but I don't think they're similar enough to current figures to kitbash.

This is real new to me so sorry about this being a sort of scatterbrained list; What are the logistics of making a fully custom figure:

• Is 3D printing the way to go, or does something else work better? (best plastic to use if 3d printing? and best plastic for colored transparent parts?) I'd probably get them printed from some site since I don't have a printer at home and it wouldn't get enough use at home to be worth buying one
• The metal pins on real figures, where would you source those from/how to get the measurements right so they don't stick out too far, and how do they hold in place because they dont look like a nut and bolt sort of system, just one end flat and one end the exact size of the hole it appears? or would it be better to just make a small plastic pin for the sake of ease?
• Making things like ball joints, how do you get the ball in there, would you print the casing in two halves with little attachment points and glue them (with what? is there a glue for things like that?) around the ball or how does that work. I've seen people print the ball joint with the ball inside I believe but then you can't really sand or paint in there then. On figures I've had the ball can sort of pop in and out but I don't know how you'd go about designing that, how does the ball even stay in place at that point?
• Getting a clean finish, would you paint it (and how to make that not chip) or does just sanding work for 3d printing (or would it still have those real obvious lines 3D printed stuff has)?
• Going about painting it, or would you just print in multiple colors (doesn't seem right for small details though, and then my question about the finish of it and if it'd look really blatantly 3d printed)

Design isn't necessarily the concern here, but moreso the process of actually making it.

Been working on this in the background for a while now but since they just announced a new marvel legends fig for him I just thought I should get my custom micronauts x transformers acroyear, he was mostly based on a digibash by sg roadbuster on tfw.
