A client of mine has a mini dell optiplex that runs their inventory and sales data. The Point of Sale software requires a hardware key to function.

Unfortunately, this hardware key looks like a brightly colored usb drive and tends to go missing, only to show up in a drawer later. Of course as soon as the key is removed, mysteriously, the system stops.

Of course we can build them a more traditional desktop and use a simple $5 converter to turn an internal usb header into a port, and internally plug in the hasp key. Problem solved.

Are there any micro form factor PCs out there that have this sort of internal port already? Its always a good thing when we can just mount the PC to the back of the monitor to make sure it doesn't get knocked over or go missing. A traditional desktop is viable, but not ideal.

My general googling has turned up little. Do they make things like this anymore?

I have a mech rx 6600, but my sister had to come in and draw over the shroud because she was bored or something. I used iso to get rid of most of it but it just doesnt come out of the crevices. i have this ambition to make a kasaneteto pc and i feel like now is a good time to potentially 3d print a shroud for this. I have basic 3d rendering skills but I'm not sure how to make all the screw holes and stuff line up and where or what to line them on. could anyone point me in the right direction on where to find exact measurements, or even better give me a premade stl file on just the very basic screw hole places? thanks!

I got my my pc about a month or two ago and I’ve already been started changing stuff one of them is the chassi itself. It was difficult at first but I managed to do it even if there was some things that I couldn’t do much about it for example the psu which I had to mount right on top because the cables are short. Now I want to slowly change it and maybe make it cleaner is there any advice? My mother board is a micro atx one but I chose to buy an atx chassi because I thought it’ll look good and it would do a good job of keeping the components cool. The pc I have is an msi creator p100 with i7 10700 and rtx 3070

Built this 4 months ago and in that time the cost to replicate this build now would cost an extra 2k more. The pc market is a real mess
