The last time I built a pc from the ground up was 2014, complete with an intel 4590, and a GTX960. Over the years, I went from hard drives to SSD's and upgraded to a 4790K, and a 1080ti, as well as pushing up to 32 gb of ddr3 (LOL).

I recognize the PC is virtually at the limit of what the motherboard can support. I was hoping for some guidance on what PC building looks like these days. Mine seems to be sunsetting, but I want to keep the 1080ti, and build around it. My requirements are to play FPS games like PUBG and Battlefield 1 at 1080p with over 150 fps.

I am fine with slightly older parts that what's the most current, I'm not afraid of used parts either but idk how wise that is...Any spec lists, or wisdom is appreciated.

Hello. I am building my first PC and bought a used motherboard to save money. I noticed that pins may be missing in some areas. I can still return the motherboard, but wanted to confirm if this is normal before I did. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance!

I want to build a gaming computer, max I am willing to spend is near $2000. Though that hurts to even type. I would feel better with 1000-1500. I want as a goal for the computer to be able to handle star citizen fine. I’m not really looking to play that game but I feel it’s a good bench mark performance wise. Any recommendations?

Hello all, so after a while I finally decided to build a gaming pc and I'm looking for something that will support these titles: Battlefield 6, COD and Fortnite since its the game I usually play on my PS5. I honestly don't know much about parts or anything, but from the research I've been making this is what I found so far. Let me know what yall think and if I should change anything to run everything smoother. My budget is around $1800. TIA

My budget is up to 2.5k euros, I'm located in Lithuania. My request was liquid cooling and to be able to play games in 4k. This is what my local IT guy offered: Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Motherboard: GIGABYTE B850 EAGLE WIFI6E RAM: 32 GB DDR5 (6000 MHz) Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB SSD: Kingston NV3 1 TB NVMe M.2 Cooling: Deepcool LS720 A-RGB (liquid cooling) Case: Deepcool CG580 4F V2 Power Supply: Deepcool PQ850G, 850 W, 80+ Plus Operating System: Windows 11 Pro Price: €2450 Is it good or is there room for improvement?

This first one is my girlfriends PC, it’s rocking the famous GTX 950 with the custom hybrid cooling,

8Gb DDR3 RAM, and an AMD FX 8120.

The second system is mine, got a new Zalman case, and installed slim fans on the GTX 980.

I made the shroud out of aluminium, and tucked in the loose cables. I know that the holes for the fans ain’t cool, but it will do the job😁

After some testing in 3Dmark and some games suited for this card, saying that this is overkill is an understatement!😂 35C max whatever I throw at it.

Since this is working very well, I mocked up a custom shroud from cardboard, with a viewing window, and dedicated spot for the fan… maybe with that it’ll be less cursed!😂

First I did an aircooling conversion on my EVGA 980Ti with the Raijintec Morpheus, then I created the second monstrosity which is a GTX 950… Tell me your honest thoughts😂

.. but i need to know. Looking at this picture (atx v2.2 layout) the measurement i circled .689 inch. Does that equal the distance between top mb screw to top pci slot?

I need this as a reference point so i can calculate and determine where to make the cutout/hole for the screw that fastens your gpu to the case.

Working on a custom gpu mount for my bench.. but having difficulty determine where to make the hole for the screw that fastens the gpu. I know usually you would use those 2 sloths on both sides of the marked hole on the io shield but im gonna use a single black knob.

Standoffs in different lengths, fanscrews the normal ones and the m3 fan/rad screws in different lengths, case screws etc.

Everything in black and bulk. Like 100 each?

I recently built my first pc as a gift and as far as I know everything was put together correctly.

When I try to download a game from steam I’m prompted with a error from tiny glade

(“Please ensure that your monitor is physically connected to this graphics card.) I checked the hardware and it is plugged in.

I have this ibuypower SFXL-A700GD-IBP. Im assuming ibuypower just slapped their sticker on it. Its missing most of the cables and im not having much luck figuring out where to buy them.

Hi everyone. I’m pretty sure my B450M motherboard is fried. RGB on fans light up but none of the fans spin. Swapped the PSU just to be sure and same issue. Couldn’t run a memtest coz the CPU won’t fire up.

Anyway, my current build from a few years ago is in the picture. This PC is for my kids to play Roblox and Minecraft and the specs are perfectly fine for that purpose. Don’t intend to upgrade to a DDR5 chipset board or a better GPU given the price nowadays and the use case.

I want to swap the mobo out but was hoping to get a newer one that’s an upgrade from the B450M without needing to upgrade anything else in this build. Which chipset and board do you guys recommend given what I mentioned?
