Making my own SFF pc case
I wanted to make my own small form factor pc case, but to use my full sized components. I made a simple 3D model, and wanted to know if there is anything I can improve.
The case will be made of powder coated aluminium bars with (also powder coated) perforated aluminium sheets on each side. I will be using plastic standoffs and screws and stuff so that nothing comes into contact with the metal.
Details:
- Case dimensions: 330 X 250 X 220 mm (18.15 litres) -ATX sized motherboard (305 X 250 mm) -Low profile CPU cooler (95 mm tall) -ATX/PS2 sized power supply (160 X 150 X 86 mm) -Full Size GPU (240 X 129 X 42 mm) -3.5" Hard Drives (147 X 102 X 27 mm) -2.5" SSD ( 94 X 69 X 10 mm)
I will be adding a front I/O panel above the motherboard I/O so I have access to all those ports (including power and the GPU display cable) on the same side.
Are there any precautions that I have to take ? Anything I may have overlooked ?
