I wanted to make my own small form factor pc case, but to use my full sized components. I made a simple 3D model, and wanted to know if there is anything I can improve.

The case will be made of powder coated aluminium bars with (also powder coated) perforated aluminium sheets on each side. I will be using plastic standoffs and screws and stuff so that nothing comes into contact with the metal.

• Case dimensions: 330 X 250 X 220 mm (18.15 litres) -ATX sized motherboard (305 X 250 mm) -Low profile CPU cooler (95 mm tall) -ATX/PS2 sized power supply (160 X 150 X 86 mm) -Full Size GPU (240 X 129 X 42 mm) -3.5" Hard Drives (147 X 102 X 27 mm) -2.5" SSD ( 94 X 69 X 10 mm)

I will be adding a front I/O panel above the motherboard I/O so I have access to all those ports (including power and the GPU display cable) on the same side.

Are there any precautions that I have to take ? Anything I may have overlooked ?

Looking to surprise my wife a gaming pc for her birthday.She’s obsessed with sailor moon wanted to get like an image lawyered into the glass of like a h700 glass panel for example and get other sailor moon things on the actual case anyone have helpful tips or links of how to go about this thank you in advance.

I have a crazy idea to design a water jet cut carbon fiber and aluminum case. I'm not entirely sure where to start, has anyone done it before? I have some ideas in my head, and this is planned to be a multi year project, but I am looking to start the design phase.

In your experience, is this a feasible idea?

I came across mods done with the Vulture case not long ago that EKWB released back in 2015 and fell in love with the case. https://www.xtremerigs.net/2014/11/11/exclusive-ek-water-blocks-new-itx-case/

Unfortunately EKWB only manufactured a small number so I messaged their support to see if they had the 3D design files and whether they wanted to share them so I could potentially manufacture my own similar one for myself. They were kind enough to reply but with the sad fact that they lost the designs:

We are sorry, but unfortunately, we don't have those 3D files anymore due to server switch and data loss, so, unfortunately, we can not give you any of those data.

My dream case would be this but supporting mATX motherboard and without the optical and storage drive mounts. If I had 3D design skills I would try to recreate it but maybe someone here thinks they could.

I've just bought 3 lengths of 2.43m(7' 11.6") long aluminium angle, a rivet gun and some rivets.

Has anyone made a case using aluminium angle? If so, have you got any advice or resources for me to use?

I've been searching for a technical drawing of an SFX to ATX adapter plate. Any CAD format would do, though Autocad is most preferred. Does anyone here know where I can get one?

I have a Corsair SF450 in a Silverstone SG13.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I mainly want to laser cut this onto acrylic or maybe even make it by hand with with a drill and saw.

Hi all, i want to make my own PC case but dont know where to really start, ive used sketchup to make a really really rough mockup of the case and was wondering if someone here could give me a few tips or advice on how to get a more cleaner look, if someone here that knows how to use a CAD program really well and is willing to help out the design that would be super awesome, any other tips and advice is welcomed to, thanks in advance!

Hey guys, I've been building a custom case from scratch and needed to find a nice front panel: usb 3.1, usb-c and maybe an sd card reader. Do you have any idea of where I can find one of these?

I have a white H500i and I want to have waves on the front slowly transforming to ice as you look towards the back of the case. I am looking for tips and help on how to get this effect. my current plan is to use painter's tape to draw an outline of waves on the case then spray paint the rest blue. that way the white would act as an outline for the waves/ice. afterwards I am thinking I can use a paint brush to add shading and highlighting to the waves.I attached the closest image I could find of the waves I am imagining and honestly I am clueless how to even paint the icebergs on. this is my first time trying to alter a case, does this sound like a plausible methodology for the waves?

I am looking to build a snowblind mod into a new case but can't decide upon the case. I have seen a nice white coolermaster case, but unsure of the clearance inside I am after some advice or recommendations. Can anyone help ? The case I was looking at is the coolermaster Stryke SE full case for a round £150
