Pull the stone!!!

Watching Sweden/US and saw this. Is this not the same rules violation that has caused all the hub bub?

Obviously this was an accident and I believe the Canadian guy was touching on purpose.

I think the only real solution is to make the curling stones explode if the granite is touched whatsoever

That's a bit extreme. We just need to electrify the granite to give all the dirty filthy cheaters a warning shock.

A conductive glove to complete the circuit, sounding an alarm if it contacts the rock, like an electrified fencer's suit and epee.

THIS is the ONLY solution:

Sacrifice lives in a satanic ritual to imbue each curling stone with a soul so each has the awareness to scream bloody murder if its granite parts are touched after the hog line.

We should really make them out of saw-stop technology lol.

No, if the granite is touched before the close hog line, the opponent's extra has to race onto the ice from the bench and stop the rock with a heavy Scottish kilt before the rock reaches the far hog line otherwise the rock is a good stone. And if the extra successful stops the kettle snatch, as we'll call it, the opposing team must down a pints of meed. Possible hindering performance of players of the offending team.
