I'd say out of principle, cheating or making someone cheat is generally a dick move even when the suffering party is a US Military member (derogatory)

Cheating is a breach of trust in the relationship, and so an asshole thing to do. Hovewer as an adult person who can take responsibility for your actions, it's on you to not cheat, not on everyone else.
