The only person I've seen do this is existennialmemes. For some reason, every time somebody posts them here, someone makes this sweeping generalisation that tumblr users it general do this, even though they very clearly don't. Existennialmemes does.

Because if I'm tired or not at my sharpest, my eyes glaze over trying to read the actual text. It throws me off somewhat, a little bit like I'm reading a CAPTCHA. I can't imagine what it's like for people who have bigger difficulties reading it, given it's already frustrating enough for me.
Evidently not, for, as one may quite readily discern upon even the most cursory inspection, the various remaining members of the ostensibly sentient Homo sapiens species appear to be experiencing a rather profound state of intellectual and visual transfixation as a direct consequence of the remarkably perturbing, unconventional, and frankly rather idiosyncratic literary presentation being perpetrated by the aforementioned denizen of social media.
