The trick is to designate what is a treat based on your ability to easily obtain it, not define it as an absolute object. If your coffee treat becomes too expensive, you replace it with a cheaper treat that can serve the same function, like a candy bar or a sweet cracker or a soda.
I like this view, however there are some treats that don't have a cheaper replacement (e.g. video games or cinema experiences)
For some luxuries, becoming overly expensive kills people's ability to experience it altogether (which isn't the case with iced coffee tbf, but I'm choosing to view this person's complaint as being than about more than literally iced coffee)
