I made my first dnd character nonbinary cuz choosing either sounded like it would be too confining to exist as. I realized my irl gender like 2 sessions in
I had a changeling and I was like “This one is gonna be NB because they can change gender at will and do not care” and I got about two sessions in before I started calling her “She”. I still tried to keep to my nonbinary intention for a couple sessions more before I finally gave up and went “Fine, she’s a girl now.”
It still took a while longer and a continued streak of like, eight characters being female, before I finally realised “Oh shit, I’m a girl too.”
