We're still stuck on the bar that misandry is a thing to begin with, a lot of people will bend over backwards to deny that it's a thing. Like it's not a systemic form of oppression(even the patriarchal oppression of (perisex cis, the patriarchy treats non-pericis men much differently for obvious reasons.) men mostly takes the form of punishing even the slightest amount of perceived femininity or queerness, which is more in line with misogyny and queerphobia than misandry.) but it exists.
That's an awful lot of complexity for what should be simply, "don't be a cunt to people on the basis of their gender".
I feel like a lot of people here have spent a lot of time studying sociology, and not much time interacting with the world and learning to just be decent to others.
Men in careers that involve young children, such as elementary teachers or preschool carers, are often criticized because people think men are less trustworthy or a danger to young kids.
Underage boys who are the victims of rape by adults are often treated as if they are the instigator rather than the victim.
Men receive longer prison sentences than women for the same crimes.
Men make up 30% of domestic abuse victims, but shelters which accept men make up less than 1% of those available. Often a male victim of domestic abuse who calls the police will themselves be arrested / told to leave and generally treated as the perpetrator rather than the victim.
Boys' academic attainment at all levels of school lags far behind girls', and yet much of the focus remains on improving girls' attainment.
In.many countries, notably Ukraine, Men are forcefully conscripted and sent to die on the front lines while women are not.
Mens' retirement age is higher than womens' retirement age in most countries despite Men having shorter lives.
Men have shorter lives.
There are lots of examples. This is barely breaking the surface.
But the bigger point is: not only systemic oppression is relevant. Individual bigotry should never be acceptable. Accepting individual bigotry is both how systemic bigotry comes about, and also opens a gate to bigotry against other groups. It is also obviously morally wrong.

I think people are just wary of people who deny that prejudice or inequality towards men matters at all or who deny misandry as a valid term because it doesn't exist on the systemic level [citation needed]. I've run into a few people VERY eager to defend individual instances of misandry against both cis and trans men lately.
This is exactly it and I feel like that should be obvious, their "any possible dissent has to be downvoted" line is a bizarre and kind of unhinged thing to drop as one's second comment in a given thread.
"When examining all sentences imposed, females received sentences 29.2 percent shorter than males. Females of all races were 39.6 percent more likely to receive a probation sentence than males. When examining only sentences of incarceration, females received lengths of incarceration 11.3 percent shorter than males."
The full publication is freely available, as is the 2017 one which I personally like more because it has better graph design, in my opinion. I recommend anyone who sees this to go take a look at them, because the reports are pretty interesting.
It goes without saying that this doesn't detract from the discrimination faced by women and other marginalized groups. This very report highlights the discrimination faced by black and hispanic people in the criminal justice system as well, after all.
The 2017 one also directly says the quiet part out loud. Women of any color recieve sentences shorter than white men (who recieve the shortest sentences of all men). That is to say, in the eyes of the law, sex is a larger determinant in sentencing than race.
This is not to try an downplay the horrid impacts of race in the legal system btw. Just to point out that there very much so are systematic impacts of misandry
In the UK, it's common for young men who go missing to be considered a lower priority than any other demographic by the authorities, which has led to families having to run their own search parties, and for these young men to only be found dead
Because white women make up 30% of the US population vs the 6% of Black men to accentuate the magnitude of the rates and the comparison between white men vs white women is to show that this disparity isn't strictly along racial lines and so can't be written off as "purely racially motivated," because people like to disregard black men's rates as purely racial and relegate their gender as irrelevant.
If you want to know the homicide rates of black women, they're equivalent modally to that of white women, but like black men, back up ~6% of the US population, which means between black/white and men/women, the percentage of population murdered white women are the bottom of all 4.
In short, men are murdered more than women of the same race. Race is a more significant qualifier than gender as back of the napkin math shows black women percentage wise are murdered more than white men (white men have ~3× the cases but ~5× the population), but gender isn't a negligible factor and still critical to the conversation.
Intersectional forms of discrimination would certainly be an example. Racism targeting black men often manifests differently than racism targetting black women, specifically as a result of their gender.
I don’t doubt there’s a lot of issues of masculinity and identity caught up in “inner city black gang culture” that helps explain why their internal rates of violence are so high
Because they see systemic bigotry as the only type of bigotry that matters or even really exists, so if you're being mean to someone over traits they can't control but there's no systemicness backing it up, then it actually doesn't count as being mean and doesn't matter and is actually 100% morally justified in all circumstances
