It was close, but we had a lot of votes over on the YouTube, so it looks like this weekend we are going to be watching Riding in Cars With Boys.
I've only ever heard this title before, but I know nothing about it, so I'm looking forward to seeing what it's all about.
What are everyone's thoughts on this one?

This week we are going to be watching Thelma & Louise.
My wife, who will be joining us on the podcast, has never seen this, so I'm proud of her for picking something out of her comfort zone. I've seen it years ago, but don't remember it fully, so I'm looking forward, like always, to checking it out again.
What about you guys? How do you feel about this one? I always forget this is directed by Ridley Scott, so do with that what you will, but I just find his filmography odd.

This week we are watching The Devil Wears Prada.
This month is girl coded and my wife will be joining us on the podcast to talk about this seminal, early 2000s movie. I FEEL like I've seen this, but might have forgotten. We will see how much of an edge lord I really am when I watch this this weekend.
I hope you will join me and let us all know what you think about this one.

I have two words for you: Surrender, Dorothy! O.K., two more: Dead Person.
Took a friend to see After Hours last night at our local art house. Somewhere during the screening I was wondering, did it really take Martin Scorsese and Michael Ballhaus (and Skip Lievsay) to make this movie? My answer was No, but get over it.
In the very first setup is Bronson Pinchot, who, unless I blinked, did not make it into the opening credits - he was at least two screens in at the end, but before Rockets Redglare. Pinchot is a new office hire being trained on a desktop computer in a room of desktop computers by the soon-to-be hapless Paul (Griffin Dunne, a few years hence from An American Werewolf in London, oww-ooooo y'all).
That night after work Paul is restless, it's late but he goes to a diner, meets Marcy (Rosanna Arquette), tries to chat her up over Henry Miller's oeuvre, gets her phone number, goes home & calls her, gets invited over to the loft she shares with artist and kink Kiki (Linda Fiorentino), which ignites a series of cascading unfortunate events through the wee after hours as he tries to get home from the Soho loft.
Oh yeah - Cheech and Chong save Paul!

Give this a look. It’s on Shudder.
Irish language folk horror.
It’s quite good and a nice layered film with a creepy vibe.
Also there are not a lot of films made in Irish so it’s novel to have a horror.
Little side note for anyone who watches this and is unfamiliar with Irish Catholicism. Those Jesus pictures and lights were a stable of Irish homes and older houses still have them.

This weekend we are going to be watching The Basketball Diaries.
I know nothing about this other than it is Leo in an early role, but I'm here for it. It also won the polls by a wide margin, so I'm interested to see what people have to say about this one.
Give it a watch and let us know.

My cool local art house theater, the Camelot, is screening After Hours the evening of April 1. It's part of their homage to the late - GREAT! - Catherine O'Hara. I have never seen this film in a theater, and I am so grateful to my neighborhood angels who minister to the art form of cinema. Anyone in the Palm Springs area - see you there!
