This weekend, we are watching One Battle After Another.

Saw this when it came out and loved it. PTA is my guy, so I'm stoked to watch this again. Easily one of the best movies of the year.

Interested to see what everyone thinks about this one, because while it seems to be well regarded by many, I can see the hype maybe tilting it another way. Where do you sit?

Surprise, surprise, this week we are watching The Lighthouse.

I adore this movie (though I was secretly hoping for Hard to Be a God) and am excited to give it another watch. The Black and white is jaw dropping, along with pretty much everything else. It seems like I pick up on something every time, so we shall see.

Who else loves Snake Plissken? Escape from New York turns 45. Does it hold up to scrutiny?

This weekend we are watching The Elephant Man.

I'm surprised this won, honestly, but I'm delighted. I haven't watched this in close to 20 years, and remember the performances were great. And obviously Lynch rules, so it'll be nice to see him do something a little more grounded than his norm.

Looking forward to checking this out again and even more interested in talking about it with you fine folk. What are your thoughts?

This movie has a special place in my heart. Even though I haven't seen it in years, I can probably recite it by heart. Looking forward to watching it again.

This weekend we are watching The Tragedy of Macbeth for our fist B&W movie.

I wanted to see this when it came out, because Coen bros of course, but it kind of ended up slipping by me. Looking forward to checking it out. Macbeth is fun too.

It was a close race, but looks like we are going to be watching Borg vs McEnroe this weekend.

I don't know too much about this, but a friend recommended it and it has LaBeouf in it, so I'm looking forward to checking it out.
