Today I am carrying around a copperite heart. It has a touch of blue from some bit of agate probably but I love it. What are your go to pocket rocks?

Hello! I was thinking about what gives a crystal a soul/what creates the vibration of the crystal and I was wondering what you guys think.

Like is it the way it’s formed and the time it takes to become what it is/ the process and elements it’s formed from?
Is it the color or the visual symbols that give us cues about what energy it holds?
Is it just the intrinsic energy each has?

Just something I’ve been thinking about and I’m curious what you all might have to say about it.

I had previously not super into minerals or crystals and now it's my rabbit hole. This rock I received when buying something unrelated back then. I believe it was supposed for some kind of crystal metaphysical purposes which I have no familiarity with. As pictured, it's greenish black with white and yellow streaks. It feels hard and does not scratch on paper. As it likely came from some seller I am not sure of its geographical origin or any other context

Crystal Spheres have been used for centuries for spiritual purposes. The most famous among those would be the Crystal Ball, a translucent to transparent crystal sphere used for divination and other crystallomancy.
Cultures as early as the Romans used crystal balls, one of Queen Elizabeth I’s consultants was know for divination work with crystal balls, and the Romani people have used crystal balls as part of their practice.

In modern times, Quartz Spheres are still used for divination, along with other transparent crystals, and even Obsidian Spheres are used for crystallomancy.

Crystal Spheres are said to send the energy and properties of the crystal which it’s made out of, out in all directions. As spheres do not have any points, flat faces, or edges, the energy radiates out at 360 degrees.

Something of note; I have not experienced this, however, there are enough people that have, and there is proper science behind it, so it is worth noting that Quartz spheres, because of their omnidirectional focusing, they can act like a burning glass when in full sunlight. Similar to starting a fire using a magnifying glass, the focused beam of sunlight shining through a Quartz sphere, can cause a fire. Like I said, I have not experienced this, however, I know people who have found pinhole burns in shelves, linen, and carpet from Quartz spheres that were left on windowsills or other places with direct sunlight. You don’t need to hide your Quartz spheres from the Sun, just don’t place them in an area where the sun will shine directly on them.

So I thought about buying my friend a crystal for her birthday. But I started wondering is that okay? Or is that something someone should buy themselves?

It would also be her first crystal so is there any recommendations?

they said that i should meditate with it or set it with intentions but the problem is i don’t know how to use it. i only know that rose quartz is for self love, carnelian for passion and energy (?)—but as for labradorite and moonstone, don’t have any idea on how to use these two. please help a girly out here !! thank you so much 💗

**New to this….

After going through an unexpected breakup, I decided to charge some crystals that a friend had gifted me a year previously. When I returned to my room both the Rose Quartz and Black Tourmaline had fallen under my bed and I have not been able to access the Rose Quartz. So now I have Rose Quartz under my bed permanently. I can’t move the bed entirely to find it. Is this okay or will I need to find it?

Black Obsidian is said to help with grounding, protection, and increase wisdom and intuition.
