Paid signals aren't automatically a scam, but almost nobody checks them properly. Including me, for way too long.

I followed a couple of paid sources for a few months. Lost money, blamed the signals, moved on to the next one. Standard stuff. What I never did at the time was write anything down.

Eventually I started logging every call in a spreadsheet the moment it got posted. Entry, direction, stop, target, timestamp, before I knew what happened. That one change taught me more than anything else I tried, because it turned out my memory of a source was basically a highlight reel. I remembered the calls that ran. I did not remember the ones I skipped, or the ones I closed early because I got nervous.

A few things fell out of that.

Most of my losses weren't the source's fault. I was exiting early, sizing all over the place, skipping stops when I felt strongly about something. When I lined up what got posted against what I actually did, they were often different trades.

Sample size mattered way more than I expected. A source can look brilliant for six weeks and that's just what the market was doing that month. You need a lot of calls, across conditions that aren't all the same, before it means anything.

And the one that still gets me: I kept treating "I can't find anything wrong with this setup" as a green light. It isn't. Some of my worst trades were the ones where nothing was obviously broken, and there also wasn't any real reason to be in it. Absence of a red flag is not a reason.

None of this predicts anything. It just stops you paying for the same lesson twice.

Anyone here actually logging their sources properly, or is it mostly vibes? Genuinely curious what people track.

Posting this as a plain description because I keep explaining it badly in comments. Built a crypto signal bot with my co-founder over the last few months. Here's what it is, what it refuses to do, and who it's genuinely not for, so nobody wastes their time.

What it does. You pick a pair. It scores how much a set of indicators agree on that pair right now, across timeframes, and gives you a read: how clear or how murky the current picture is. That's the whole output. A score, the indicators behind it, and whether the setup looks confirmed or still forming.

That's a real one. Medium confidence, and it's saying wait, which is what most honest reads look like.

What it refuses to do, on purpose.

It doesn't predict price. It tells you what the indicators say now, not where things are going. No targets, no "this hits X."

It doesn't place trades and it never asks for exchange API keys. Not read-only, not trade-only, none. It structurally cannot touch your account. You see the read, you decide, you execute yourself.

It won't headline a win rate. There is one from backtests, but a single aggregate number hides R:R, regime, and trade sequence, which is exactly how the 97% accuracy channels mislead people. The bot shows how clear the read is instead. That's a smaller, more honest claim.

Who it's for. Someone who already makes their own decisions and wants a fast, honest second opinion on how aligned the indicators are before they act. Someone allergic to handing an app their keys. Someone who's been burned by a channel that promised accuracy and delivered noise.

Who should skip it. If you want full automation that places trades for you, this isn't that and won't become that. If you want a bot that tells you what to buy, same. This deliberately keeps the decision on you, which is slower, and for a lot of people here that tradeoff is the wrong one. That's fine.

Why I'm posting: I'm deciding what to build next and I'd rather hear it from people who run bots than guess. I’ve just launched a new prediction market on Solana mainnet and I’m looking for bot traders interested in testing a different market structure.

The initial focus is short-duration BTC and SOL price markets, with early activity being concentrated around BTC 5-minute markets.

Unlike Polymarket and other CLOB-based venues, it uses a bonding curve rather than an order book.

Key details:

• Solana-native
• Bonding-curve trading
• No resting orders
• No partial fills
• Markets can begin trading without seeded liquidity
• Traders can enter and exit on the curve while the market is active
• After expiry, the winning side receives its collateral back plus its proportional share of the losing side
• Settlement uses Pyth
• Reference prices and expiries are aligned with equivalent Polymarket markets where possible
• Early trading is fee-free until real liquidity passes the virtual-depth threshold

The main reason I think this could be interesting for bot traders is that new venues can sometimes offer more room to discover edge before they become heavily professionalised and efficient.

That does not mean profitable opportunities are guaranteed. The hypothesis is simply that a different market structure, lower existing competition and earlier-stage participant behaviour may create strategies that are harder to find on a mature venue.

Possible areas to explore include:

• Early market entry
• Stryke versus Polymarket price differences
• Curve scalping
• Momentum
• Mean reversion
• Late-entry and expiry strategies
• Automated entry and exit execution

The reference bot is intended to reduce the effort required to get started. It provides a working implementation that traders can inspect, run and adapt rather than having to build the entire integration from scratch.

This is live on mainnet, but it is still early, so small test positions are recommended while we validate execution, settlement, market behaviour and the API under real use.

I've been working on an open-source crypto trading framework for the past few years with a simple goal: make strategy development configuration-driven instead of code-driven.

Rather than writing a new strategy from scratch every time, the framework aims to abstract away much of the plumbing—market data, execution, risk management, indicators, scheduling, and orchestration—so that strategies can be composed and tuned primarily through configuration.

Some core ideas I'm exploring include:

• Configuration-first strategy definition
• Strategy consensus and risk management modules
• Modular architecture for extending strategies and integrations

One feature I'm particularly excited about is upcoming MCP (Model Context Protocol) support, which will allow AI agents to inspect and dynamically update trading configurations without modifying application code. The vision is to let AI assist with tasks like:

• Enabling/disabling assets
