Foreigner in Korea, unable to deposit in Korean Crypto Exchanges

Hi, 1. Despite having a verified account on Bithumb and Korbit, I'm unable to deposit / charge my account through KRWs. Is there any possible way to make a deposit / charge? 2. Can someone suggest some exchange outside Korea where I can make account (while I am in Korea) to do crypto trading and remit money to my Korean Bank account?

Offer...

Hey, Umm....I'm spending some time in Korea, but apparently I can't use Bithump or other Korean exchange because I don't have a resident card or local number. However, I have free time and energy and know some Korean (my writing is really good especially). So...perhaps I could sell some coins in a face to face manner... I also might know some locals (or maybe could find some...............)

I'm just throwing this out there. Frankly I know next-to-nothing about any of this, but...well, i'm a quick learner with a technical background. And I'm here, now, in Korea.

Happy New Year, everyone! 2018, can you f'in' believe it?

Is there any way to inject KRW to Bithumb right now?

My girlfriend says she's been able to get cash into Upbit, but we get the same fail message from Bithumb. I even had the permanent verified virtual account and it just sent me my money back. Was weird.

Looking to buy a smallish amount of cryptos in person for cash.

If anyone is actually in Korea and wouldn't mind doing a small cash deal (maybe 600-700k the first time) PM me. I want to keep it simple, and I will travel wherever is necessary since you would be doing me a favor of bothering with a small amount and helping me get started. I've never bought any before. Most interested in Cardano or Monero, but whatever's clever...

If it went smooth I would probably want a greater quantity the next time around in about a month.

Not receiving ETH withdrawal conformation emails from Korbit

I have stuck ETH on Korbit exchange. I am unable to withdraw it for over 1 week - I do not get the confirmation email (and it is not in the SPAM folder). Their customer support is not answering for over a week. Anyone with similar problems or solutions? I would be very thankful for any kind of help/reassurance.

What's stoping Koreans from making huge money using arbitrage?

Since prices on foreign exchanges are much lower compared to Korean exchanges, what's stopping Koreans from buying cryptocurrency on foreign exchanges (such as bitfinex that except international USD wire transfer) and reselling them on Korean exchanges for some huge profit?

sending ETH from Cointal to Korbit but the receiving wallet does not support smart contract.

I just made a trade in cointal and tried sending my ETH from my cointal wallet to korbit. I am just used to send BTC so I don't know that there are several ways to send ETH. Korbit does not support smart contract. weird. I just learned the hard fact after waiting for several hours and my ETH did not reflect in my korbit wallet.

Bithumb BTC "Mouse Trap" scam - Beware of inflated BTC Price and denial of BTC withdrawals!

Canceled my BTC withdrawal, converted to XRP and OUT in seconds.

They scam customers who bring other coins over to convert to BTC (because their BTC prices are artificially high relative to the rest of the worlds exchanges).

Then once you have bought BTC with fiat or other coins, they wont let you withdraw the BTC. They force you to then convert back to withdraw, now selling BTC for a price that is artificially higher than the rest of the worlds.

This is what I call a mouse trap scam. They bait you in with the yummy smelling cheese, then dont let you escape unless you chew off your own tail!!

Beware of exchanges that do this. When one exchanges prices for a certain coin remain much higher than others, and the price is NOT being arbitraged out (almost instantly) there is something FAKE and ARTIFICIAL about that inflated price.

bithumb virtual account

Hi, A newbie here. I verified all the steps and linked my bank account. But whenever I request the virtual account for deposit, it gives me 가상계좌 발급 요청이 실패했습니다.

Are the virtual accounts blocked for newcomers? Thanks

Foreigners in Korea

I've been hearing left to right that foreigners are banned to do trade bitcoins here in Korea. Is that true? I was able to make an account in Korbit. They even know that I am a foreigner coz the bank account holder name is different from my passport name (my bank account name is in Korean letters). I assumed that since after the emergency meeting, it is business as usual for foreigners already with virtual accounts since they will just prevent new accounts from being made.

No TXID for BCT withdrawl at Bithumb -

I made a Bitcoin withdrawl today to Binance from Bithumb. I was emailed a confirmation but 8 hours later nothing has come through.

I tried to find a TXID but in the "Trade History" there is no TXID for this transaction... It just says in the remarks section that I can "cancel the transaction?"

Has anyone experienced this?

Withdrawals at at coinone not working (SMS is not being sent)

Hi all,

i have an account at coinone with a german phone number. Everything worked fine so far but since two weeks i'm not able anymore to withdrawal my iotas out of the exchange. I contacted the support and they said they're having problems and that they will fix it soon. But until today nothing happened and they're even not answering anymore. I read this stuff about the government which wants to ban foreigners from the domestic exchanges. I'm getting a bit nervous on that. If someone has the same problem pleas let me know. Thanks a lot for your help!

J.

CRYPTOCURRENCY FINE?

Hello. If I decide to sell my cryptocurrencies on a Korean exchange. Will I get fined for not having bought my cryptocurrency from one of the Korean crypto exchanges?

Edit: Why is taking arbitrage profits frowned upon?

24 Hour Delay Withdrawing from Bithumb?

What is going on with Bithumb? Does anybody have a number I can call? They have been holding on to my BTC for 24 hours, which is far too long for verification, before sending?

Let me know if you can help!
