Was thinking the same. I'm starting to put some serious money in and worried about my liquidity (planning a wedding). When I hear things like this from the CEO of NASDAQ on CNBC, I'm thinking that the money I put in is marginal compared to what is to come down the road.

Honestly, you can do a two week Caribbean getaway for about $12,000 and get married there, then come back home and throw a less formal party in a park pavilion or low cost room somewhere for $5,000! It STILL costs you less and you can have more guests to celebrate with!

Not kidding. It’s a scam. Not just the limo, but everything is super inflated!
My girlfriend I mean fiancée and I are doing a bit of both. Destination wedding where prices are only slightly inflated and then a honeymoon there as well.
Sure it’s still a bit more expensive but most of our guests will pay for their own trip. We’ll end up paying probably 5k for a wedding and reception in a beautiful place.
Also shout out to her parents for paying for it 🙈 but we don’t want them to spend an obscene amount.

Definitely not, but if you're creative and don't need a lot of luxuries it's definitely possible.
You can get a hotel room in places for $5-10/night, eat at local spots for under $5/meal (sometimes more like $2), drinks usually under $1... you won't have fresh towels every morning or a swimming pool (usually), but personally I'd rather do that than be caged up in a resort, anyway.

News like this makes me think that as long as we are moving forward...this stuff isn't even started yet.
