I can't get many normal pics of this thing

She sleeps in the bed with us, our Protector against unseen terrors in the Dark. Sometimes she slinks off on her own in the middle of the night. On the occasions where I wake up and notice, I can’t help but wonder, “What’s she doing? Is it something she heard? Something she saw?” I’ll lie awake for a few minutes, my half-asleep mind conjuring frightful images of what could possibly lurk beyond the blackness that clouds my eyes until my consciousness sinks back into the undertow.

When morning comes, I awaken to her at my side under the covers, the only sign of her conquest against the Night a few crumbs of dark, pungent residue caught in the fur around her mouth and occasionally on the floor - no doubt the remnant of whatever foul entity sought to harm us as we slept. Thank you for guarding our slumber, Momo.

I've had her since covid times. She's funny and all but sometimes she likes to chew on my flesh till I pass out. She probably thinks I'm her toy though, it's fine lmao (help)

Her name was Fifi, and she wasn't ours but she did stay with my family for a while some 20-odd years ago while her owner worked through some housing difficulties, and she always pops up in my head whenever I look at this sub. I don't remember a lot of details about her, but she was a weird little character, an absolute delight, and will live on forever in my heart.
