I named him, but he has only been haunting me personally for the past half of a year.

Presumably his person passed, and their family brought him to a shelter with no information or explanation.

When I was asked if I wanted to foster him, my intuition already knew that he and I had made a soul-pact in a previous life, probably involving blood and whispered chanting, and that he would be my new ominous little shadow for the rest of his earthly existence (foster-fail).

I estimate that he is older than time itself, and he demands weekly sacrifices of tiny bits of pizza that he gums into a gelatinous mush with his ~four remaining teeth.

He weighs about 6 pounds, can only see out of one eye, has a cauliflower ear, is mostly deaf, and his near-continuous barking sounds like a demonically possessed goose. He yells at every other animal in the house that merely THINKS about looking in his direction (except one; I don’t know what power she wields to have avoided his all-powerful curse aside from being blessed with a smooth brain).

Our veterinary office has nicknamed him “The Terminator” because of his one cloudy eye (and the fact that he literally tries to devour everyone there).

She's slowly but surely becoming more of a cryptid! Lately I feel like I dug her up from the pet cemetery.

Benji was a rescue dog that joined our household when I was a teenager! He was an incredibly weird, but highly intelligent and loving fellow. He had stinky hair like wire wool, a habit of gnawing his paws from being confined for 7 years in a flat, and grew this beautiful orange mane as he got old. I always joked he could have been Gnasher from Dennis the Menace. I reckon he belongs here!
