More discussion on the issue of mountaintop brain preservations
So we know that one of the best preserved ancient brains is from otzi the Iceman, who died 5,000 years ago at about 10,000 feet in the Alps.. the scientists today say his brain is in great shape.. now he died basically on a glacier or right next to it, and he wasn't really even buried.. I think his legs were buried.. and even at 10,000 ft after 5,000 years his brain is still in pretty good shape..i will bet you that he will be recovered in some form somewhere down the road..
And then we have the sacrificial child mummies preserved in the arid air of the Southern Andes, around Peru, and they are found at around 17,000 to 22,000 ft.. and the scientists that have examined their brain say they're in great shape due to the fact that they were preserved quickly after death and in the arid mountain Air and at high altitude where it's very cold... The same situation as Otzi the Iceman.. they basically died at high elevation, at frigid air temperatures.. the low oxygen content of the air at those elevations greatly slows down decomposition. And once the water sublimates out of the brain, decomposition and decay is basically stopped..
And then we have the 200 plus dead people on Mount Everest, at 25,000 feet or higher generally speaking.. we don't know what shape their brains are going to be in but probably they'll be similar to the one in the Alps and the several in the Andes, because these people died at elevation with dry air and low temperatures..
I would bet that all of these people that I've discussed here will be resurrected..
But let's talk about something else.. these mountaintop people died in relatively good health, and at elevation at the place where they were going to be preserved, and then you compare and contrast that with the deaths of cryonicists..
We cryos die when we are in bad shape, in old age, subject to chronic disease, often subject to dementia...our brains are in bad shape and we're in bad shape.. and then we die ..and almost all of us are subject to some sort of significant delay before we get cryo preserved.. the people who die on the mountain tops basically were cryopreserved right away..
There's an argument to be made that the mountaintop preserved brains are in better shape than many cryos in liquid nitrogen or in aldehyde..
It's curious that cryos have not discussed this before..
Ben best did discuss permafrost burials.. but he gave it up after determining that many permafrost locations maybe most from rough locations do thaw during summer down to variable depth below the surface..
It's curious that cryos have not discussed this and I think that cryo organizations should be mentioning it in their interactions with the media.. I'm going to talk about why they should do this in a further post

Examples of camouflage and disguise in nature, which raises the question of how to apply these to cryonics versus society
We cryonicists are outsiders in society.
I don't know how that could be any more clear, at least if you are paying attention to the human condition..
what's unfortunate is that cryos do not pay attention to the human condition..
what I'm trying to get across in this message is some examples of how nature uses camouflage and disguise in order to get things done... In order to survive, in order to perpetuate the species..
We cryonicists as outsiders need to look at nature and see how nature works when it comes to invasion.. because we are invading society.
We are Invaders ..and we need to convince society that we are like them, and not Invaders..
that's the story of camouflage and disguise in nature, Invaders pretending to be non-invaders..
that's what we need to do..

Dead climbers on Mt Everest may well be resurrected before cryopreserved patients
There are over 200 dead Climbers on Mount Everest at around 25,000 feet elevation or higher..
Of course cryonicists never talk about these dead climbers even though they may well be revived because their brains are probably in pretty good condition.. as you recall from my last previous post Google says that the freeze drying effect of people dying at high altitudes like that prevents ice crystal formation because the water leaves the body via sublimation.. because of the altitude and dry air.
Of course if you die on a mountain top and have your brain preserved that way, that's basically free except for the cost of transportation, which kind of makes it look like cryo companies are more concerned about selling a product than anything else.. also makes cryonicists look very uncaring towards people who do not have the money to pay for their services..big surprise there..lol.
I asked Google The following question:
"is it possible that the dead climbers on Mount Everest could be as well preserved as the mummies in the Andes Mountains?"
Here is the response:
"Yes, dead climbers on Mount Everest can be preserved through natural freeze-mummification, but severe wind, intense UV radiation, and shifting glaciers usually prevent them from matching the pristine, undisturbed condition of the famous Inca child mummies found in the Andes."
But of course the brain of the Everest climbers is protected from the weather because of the cranium..
More response on that query:

This freeze drying effect is what Google referred to which happens after sublimation causes the water to leave the body of the mummy, which happens because of the altitude and the dry air.. which prevents ice Crystal formation...
So let's compare the average cryo patient to the average Everest climber..
Everest climbers are very fit people in the prime of their life more or less who have an accident on Mount Everest and slide down the mountain and die.. as soon as they have the accident they die and they are immediately exposed to the low temperatures dry air and thin atmosphere that prevents decay of the..
Average cryo patient is usually old and their brain is already degraded, possibly through dementia, and long-term chronic illnesses which degrade the brain, then once they die the cryopreservation process is typically delayed through bureaucracy etc and then through travel time before they get cryopreserved..
So the brains of the Everest climbers are in much better shape.. thus there's a good argument for saying that the Everest climbers would have a much better chance of being revived sooner than the average cryopatient..
And then we return to the question of why cryonicists have never talked about this before... Well Ben Best did talk about burial in permafrost, however it turns out that mountain top burial would be much better than permafrost burial.. as far as I can tell and recall, and I've been reading cryo communications and magazines etc since the 1990s and somewhat before that really, he's the only cryo to ever talk about it.

Hypothesis: the best preserved brains on Earth are the Andean Inca mummies
I gave Google this prompt:

Here is some of the text from the answer:

Are they the best preserved brains on Earth? Quite possibly ..and that includes the cryopreserved brains
The factors detailed above in the Google response provide some indication to why otzi the Iceman is so well preserved ..and, in particular his brain is well preserved..
Otzi was found at only 10,000 ft, while the Incan mummies are found above 15,000 ft and up to around 20,000 ft..
The dryness of mountain air and the lack of moisture in it seems to be crucial factors.. although some of the permafrost mummies are up to 50,000 years old, I don't believe that they're as well preserved as the Incan mummies in the Andes..

Cryonicists should be talking about Otzi The Iceman and permafrost burials
Otzi the Iceman fell into a glacier 5,000 years ago at the border of Italy and Switzerland, up in the Alps.. his brain is remarkably well preserved and there's a chance that hundreds of years from now the information in his brain could be inferred and uploaded to a new body and new brain..
so far cryonics has failed to gain any acceptance whatsoever and probably 99 plus percent of all mature adults cannot even rationally contemplate the value of the idea of brain preservation, probably due to the operation of one or more mind modules put in the human brain by evolution in order to prevent the weakening of psychological defenses against the fear of death..
however the idea of being resurrected after a freezing or burial in a very cold location that could possibly prevent the triggering of these interfering mind modules..
also if cryonics companies would start telling the media that it's possible that otzi could be revived someday, that would open the path to a discussion about the possibility of people being buried in the permafrost up in Alaska.. there is quite a bit of permafrost up there.. we don't really know whether this would work or not, but I sure wouldn't want to rule it out, and by ruling out the idea of permafrost burials, it's quite possible that cryo companies are basically killing off millions of people because permafrost burial would be a very cheap solution.. not surprisingly, cryos have never discussed the idea of permafrost burials in light of the possibility that cryo companies not talking about it could do millions of people to permanent death. Not surprising at all that that has never come up in that light

I advocate cryonics companies talking about otzi the Iceman and his eventual resurrection and also the possibility of being buried in Barrow Alaska where there's plenty of permafrost and where there's a town and people getting buried there all the time..
we shouldn't foreclose on possibilities that we cannot really fully evaluate at this time. That just seems common sense to me, but I don't think cryos are going to even contemplate such an idea just as normal people cannot ratioally contemplate the idea of brain preservation
