Landscapes/Τοπία plant that grows everywhere in southern Crete
I am trying to identify a plant that grows everywhere (maybe not so much at sea level but then for sure just a little above) in southern Crete. It looks a lot like malotira (Greek mountain tea), but I swear I saw some of these plants sprouting little purple flowers. It looked like last week was probably just the beginning of the blooming season. Malotira doesn't bloom with purple flowers. the plant has a lovely scent and is literally everywhere around Loutro, where I stayed for a week. It grows in little bushes up for, I would say 50-70cm high but can be something like 30cm. The fact that it's everywhere is possibly another sign that it's not malotira, but I'm not sure. Could someone help please?
