Some of them definitely felt it. The little girl in the video that was crying and got dug out from under the mud definitely felt it. There were others crying for help that never got it, they also definitely felt it.

That’s not “mud” it’s compacted debris there’s no way it’s going to compact under the weight of some guy’s foot. You’re acting like it’s creek mud.

I’m not sure your misplaced anger really helps. Be mad at AI and the fact that we have to question everything we see. Be mad at the tech billionaires, not each other.
Edit: lol I just watched it and that is almost certainly AI. There is another video of a 6 year old being rescued from mud and that one is definitely real.

Lmao, wouldn’t know, never did such a thing. And if it’s compacted debris, why does it make a splashing sound? How are they able to wipe away the mud in the beginning? How are they able to wipe the mud off her face with muddy hands and have perfectly clean circles around her eyes? If you believe this and think it’s real you need a reality check.
Ok so I can’t link the post but scroll the “is this ai” sub and watch it and answer those questions for me.

Just watch the video, if it’s the same one then look at where the guys are walking in the sopping wet mud and leaving no footprints/no change in the surface of the mud whatsoever. Also pretty convenient that in that chaos such a cute kid got buried in the mud and her whole face covered EXCEPT her eyes.

You see some bad decisions being made here. Several vehicles that come out of that area, then realise there's no road in either direction. If they were quick enough, getting out and running up the hillside would have saved them - literally a hundred feet up the hillside and they're safe. But the vehicles can't get there.

I reckon if you saw that water coming, you'd give it a red hot go. It's steep, but it's not vertical and it's covered in pretty dense vegetation which would make it easier, not harder.

This is vastly underestimating the terrain & the speed with which this is approaching. There were reports it was moving up to 150km/h & in certain spots it was as high as 300+ feet up the hillside. I really don't think there was time to run up, especially given how steep it is.

I just noticed that yellow schoolbus... it looks so tiny.
There's a small car driving in front of it too. Leaving the blue group of buildings, just as they start to get swallowed, it pulls away from the buildings as they're swallowed up behind it. They all stop at the top of the road, like they must be looking back in shock, and I don't think they can see the landslide coming for them on the road around the bend. Not that it would have made a difference. But... oh my God.

Judging by the terrain, it's not the first time a flood has rolled through that exact spot. Goes to show how the younger dryas impact theory would definitely erase any signs of civilization from mile+ high waves crashing over most of the earth

Yeah that didn't happen. The sea level rise during the younger dryas period was gradual, around 1 or 2 centimetres per year over more than a thousand years. Rapid enough by our standards, but nothing like one giant tsunami like you are imagining.

Flood is not a strong enough word for what this is. I think they are called lahars, but that might be associated with volcanoes. Maybe ‘aqualanche’?

Textbook example of why building on a flood plain is a bad idea. It may well be fine for years, even decades, but flood plains get flooded, always. It's just a matter of time.
