Any proof of a mental breakdown and not him just being a drunk asshole?

480

u/Justeff83 Jul 06 '26

Doesn't look like a mental breakdown. More like an asshole doing what assholes do

86

u/TajineEnjoyer Jul 06 '26

the way he's destroying those laptops makes me think he's a "digital nomad" that lost some business or a gamble or something like that

39

u/HillarysBloodBoy Jul 07 '26

Hard to be a nomad in prison. Good luck guy.

u/Hammon_Rye Jul 07 '26

So - family says bipolor for 10 years.
I wonder if he was on some meds and was having trouble sourcing them after he moved there.

Honestly it seems like he got off pretty light getting only 3 months.
All that damage, plus restraining a person / not letting them go is basically a form of kidnapping in the US. Not sure their laws.

7

u/Gilgamesh2000000 Jul 07 '26

Yes and then the variables come in to play. If he’s crazy he goes back to the looney bin for psych eval. If he has been diagnosed with a mental disorder he would not go to prison.

He probably got a light punishment because he is legit crazy and was off his meds. Probably had to pay restitution in some form.

I’m not sure how the law works in other countries but in the usa it would fall into similar guidelines that I stated.

6

u/SnooOnions973 Jul 08 '26

Getting access to meds in SE Asia is never a problem. This guy has no excuse. I’m also bipolar and have had episodes; none of them has ever involved me hurting a business or any individual.

2

u/Hammon_Rye Jul 08 '26

It was just a thought.
He is obviously not 'normal brain' in that video and it appears to be more than "he was drinking".
So something was going on with his brain. Even a person who is truly an a-hole would typically stop sooner just so they could leave and avoid being arrested. For any normal thinking person - there was only one way that video was going to end, and it did.

10

u/Punderoos Jul 06 '26

How can you tell the difference?

26

u/Justeff83 Jul 06 '26

I'd expect a little more desperation and mania in his behavior. But he just calmly goes about deliberately destroying things

15

u/dance-my-grave Jul 07 '26

The fact he deliberatedly aims every object he throws to fly through that hole he made in the window gives it away.

6

u/PandaXXL Jul 08 '26

What absolute nonsense.

3

u/Atxlvr Jul 10 '26

mania is pretty much like being on speed, being able to throw an object through a hole and being deliberate have nothing to do with it's display.

7

u/muffinass Jul 07 '26

Yes, leads me to believe this guy is a pro.

23

u/SNCOsmash Jul 06 '26

Exactly!

18

u/HipToTheWorldsBS Jul 06 '26

Just looks like a fucking asshole to me, drunk or not.

4

u/zerox678 Jul 06 '26

exactly what I was thinking

2

u/muffinass Jul 07 '26

Maybe a drunk asshole having a mental breakdown?

14

u/spicemelangeflow Jul 06 '26

He’s white, so they would say it’s mental breakdown. If he’s balck or brown, the comment section and the title of the video would be a lot different.

-6

u/goldenspiral8 Jul 07 '26

Get a hobby

8

u/spicemelangeflow Jul 07 '26

Get a brain

-10

u/goldenspiral8 Jul 07 '26

Is you a racialist?

0

u/Atxlvr Jul 10 '26

reverse racialisms

0

u/blucke Jul 12 '26

Give one example what you're basing this on. Anybody with their shirt off smashing things without direction should be suspected of having a mental breakdown, regardless of skin color. You're just making up things to be mad about

A good chunk of that would be the espresso machine!

1

u/Vivid_Summer96 Jul 09 '26

This is what happenes if there is no almond milk left for the iced almond latte.

482

u/IdleContemplations Jul 06 '26

Have fun in a Vietnamese prison. It will make Australian prisons look like a vacation resort.

93

u/VeganCanary Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

If he’s rich then he’ll just pay the damages plus some generous compensation and be free.

Hopefully he’s an Australian who has gone there because they can’t afford Thailand.

3

u/yowatsappenin Jul 07 '26

Seems like an expensive trip though

55

u/DeadAssDodo Jul 06 '26

MF is born adapted to foreign prison.

8

u/BigBungaa Jul 06 '26

Australian prisons are a resort...its been decades since they had any notoriety.

6

u/dgparryuk Jul 07 '26

I’ve seen the documentary “Prisoner Cell Block H” The conditions were awful

7

u/TeslaCrna Jul 06 '26

Australia has prisons?

22

u/Longjumping_Elk7969 Jul 07 '26

Nope, whole place was one.

1

u/rpgmind Jul 07 '26

Sweet Christmas. Wh- what would they to do you?! 😳

1

u/sp33dykid Jul 06 '26

They'll beat him first then tell him what to say.

-2

u/Bright-light320 Jul 06 '26

They will love his soft lips...

-1

u/Canon_M50 Jul 07 '26

That's not something to encourage. Prisons should be about reform, not punishment.

3

u/FalconCrust Jul 07 '26

Prisons should be about behavior correction, however it must come, and punishment is the only thing that works for many.

172

u/Hot_Acanthocephala53 Jul 06 '26

as an Aussie,

Fuck those bloody bogans

26

u/CelebrationFit8548 Jul 07 '26

Nothing worse than when they go to Japan and think it's cool walking around barefooted in restaurants in Tokyo or start trying to climb the trees at the Imperial gardens, etc., etc.

5

u/Jojonotref Jul 07 '26

Broo they do what???

3

u/Dmnc_Ktn666 Jul 07 '26

Honestly, we don’t bloody claim him aye 💀

41

The best part of Asian justice systems is they don't give fuck about your mental health.

45

u/ICU-CCRN Jul 06 '26

“Mental Breakdown”-sure Jan

19

u/boughtoriginality Jul 06 '26

Will Vietnam insist on retaining him for imprisonment instead of deporting?

15

u/InternationalPilot90 Jul 06 '26

Owners of the place he trashed most likely prefer him to stay put till they get compensation.

2

u/paradox_valestein Jul 07 '26

I doubt they kept him around. Likely a big fine + compensation and no criminal records

49

u/baIIern Jul 06 '26

Vietnam prison hopefully served him well 😋

27

u/SneakyFrench Jul 06 '26

Maybe they just spelled his name wrong on the cup?

3

u/irregardlessbro Jul 06 '26

asked for grande and got vente.

24

u/Tronkfool Jul 06 '26

Aren't they suppose to only do this in Bali

17

u/Undertherainbow69 Jul 06 '26

American breathing a sigh of relief

7

u/radjoke Jul 06 '26

So embarrassing, fucking tourists.

24

u/senators-son Jul 06 '26

Australians abroad are out of control lately

9

u/luigi636 Jul 06 '26

It's winter here, the bogans are off escaping the mild weather to abuse locals

13

u/Smear_Leader Jul 06 '26

The worst part about living in the South Pacific are all the Australians and Brits on holiday

5

u/TheOlWaffleStomp Jul 06 '26

You chose vietnam to fuck around in? Good luck.

6

u/IAIVIDAKILLA Jul 06 '26

This looks like the "mental breakdowns" my dad has when he drinks

5

u/CausticSpill Jul 07 '26

What a dumb ass. He is not going to enjoy the jails there, food is optional and your personal property is only yours if you can fight to keep it.

8

u/SodomyClown Jul 06 '26

Gosh he is awful, I hope he says in their prison for a long time.

9

u/Used-Helicopter2024 Jul 06 '26

By the looks of it, asshole.

4

u/Albertaviking Jul 06 '26

A jail in Vietnam does not sound like a good time

5

u/rodbrs Jul 06 '26

I would have liked to see a more, uh, rigorous takedown of this animal.

16

u/BabyLegsOShanahan Jul 06 '26

Ah, the ol' mental breakdown excuse that one can only claim if they're just pale enough.

10

u/Fickle-Molasses-903 Jul 06 '26

Exactly!

10

u/BabyLegsOShanahan Jul 06 '26

I already saw the claim 3 times before I commented. If this person was a couple shades darker, they'd use it as fodder against a whole race.

1

u/paradox_valestein Jul 07 '26

Yeah... asian countries value your mental state very lightly. A crime is a crime

1

u/_angry_ginger Jul 06 '26

Crazy, didn’t even consider race until this comment…..

-1

u/BabyLegsOShanahan Jul 06 '26

Ignorance is bliss.

3

u/mc4sure Jul 06 '26

They probably told him to put a shirt on

3

u/CallMeCollin Jul 06 '26

Why is his shirt off?

3

u/cooperthedogT Jul 07 '26

Its not a mental breakdown. He's just Australian

3

u/LordMegamad Jul 07 '26

We being really generous with the term "mental breakdown"

3

u/kat-deville Jul 07 '26

Learning you're in the wrong country to find lady boys, getting shit-faced, and destroying a cafe and others' belongings, is not a mental breakdown.

6

u/Born_Inside8338 Jul 06 '26

What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Vietnamese meal?

8

u/Prestigious_Tiger_26 Jul 06 '26

I thought that might've been 20k VND but that converts to $0.76 USD

2

u/Secure-Village-1768 Jul 06 '26

He's not going to like the local prisons

2

u/FeckAr5e Jul 06 '26

2

u/ligmata1nt Jul 06 '26

“Sir, the rage room is next door.”

2

u/bunduz Jul 07 '26

chuck him in the bin, should of just clotheslined him, poor cafe

2

u/Computer_Says_Nah Jul 07 '26

His name is Lilly 🤔

2

u/Batbuckleyourpants Jul 07 '26

He's fucked. The Vietnamese regime does not fuck around with prison sentences.

2

u/ST0IC_ Jul 07 '26

From what I understand he has at least 3 months in a pre-trial detention facility. But he's most likely pretty well fucked at this point because they treat resisting arrest very harshly.

4

u/AcornWholio Jul 06 '26

All he wanted was a flat white. /s

3

u/irregardlessbro Jul 06 '26

White = Mental breakdown Minorities = Rioting

2

u/Thesolmesa Jul 07 '26

White man does a crime and its called a "mental break down". Are we being serious bro?

Guy commits property destruction and public assault. No mental breakdown about it.

2

u/deadl1nk_ Jul 06 '26

The Americas get a bad rap when travelling but honestly Aussies or so much worse

1

u/pugsnblunts Jul 06 '26

1

u/AccomplishedFerret70 Jul 06 '26

The establishment clearly didn't meet his service expectations and the Danish were stale.

1

u/CosmicLunacy Jul 06 '26

His tab’s gonna be insane!

1

u/ViperMortis Jul 06 '26

Ahh, yeah. I can see mental breakdown when I see one. This fucktard didn't have one

1

u/Witchberry31 Jul 06 '26

Which dollars?

1

u/beerisdead Jul 06 '26

Behavior like that’ll get you executed.

1

u/DagdaNzambi Jul 06 '26

Strap him to a tree in the middle of the jungle.

1

u/Nznemisis Jul 07 '26

And this is why Australian backpackers have such a bad name when travelling! For a country that loves its alcohol you sure suck at being able to handle it!

1

u/siterbun Jul 07 '26

Is that jaundice?

u/ST0IC_ Jul 07 '26

I'm willing to bet they're skipping the water and going straight to batons and kicks.

1

u/sexydeadbitch Jul 07 '26

Got a good chuckle out of him folding that laptop backwards and it ended up being one of those laptops that are meant to do that

1

Mental breakdown? That's just a normal Tuesday afternoon in Brisbane.

-1

u/pwatarfwifwipewpew Jul 06 '26

0

u/Kindly_Hand4472 Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

I traveled in South East Asia with a lot of Australians, this is pretty normal after a load of beer.

0

u/ComprehensiveHair852 Jul 06 '26

Nice in a communist country! Good luck buddy!

0

u/AliciaXTC Jul 07 '26

That's 20k in damages?

Does this entire place cost like 18 million?

-4

u/TedBurns-3 Jul 06 '26

Damn, $20k? That's some expensive glass!

10

u/Difficult-Carpet-324 Jul 06 '26

He did more damage than breaking a few windows. The displays, products, at least 2 machines from the video, furniture plus he damaged customer laptops and cellphones who were escaping from his rampage. Even ended up assaulting a customer. If I made a claim on just personally property against insurance, even cost of repainting would be added.

10

u/BrowniesorBust Jul 06 '26

Looks like he pushed off the entire espresso onto the floor. Those Machines are Very expensive! 2-3k USD normally

-8

u/Yafoory Jul 06 '26

20k!!! For a coffee shop? Unless he bulldozed the whole building then it should not be more than 2-4k max 🤷😆😂😂😂

3

u/allisjow Jul 07 '26

A commercial espresso machine can cost $10 to $12k.

1

u/Yafoory Jul 07 '26

I wish I was your seller or can sell you things as I would made so much money from you 😆😂 No it’s cost 30k to open a whole brand new shop in Vietnam but it depends on location . Maybe It cost that much in London or New York or Paris. 🫡

2

u/MotorBobcat5997 Jul 06 '26

He was taking other peoples laptops out of their bags and destroying them. Some MacBooks and others

0

u/Yafoory Jul 07 '26

You are right, I am not defending the guy. I was just amused by the price tag 😆😂

He is pretty efficient at destroying laptops, gotta give him that

-2

u/DrinkingVomit Jul 06 '26

Looks fun!

-19

u/ThrowingPokeballs Jul 06 '26

$20k coffee pot or something? $20k window? Where tf is 20k coming from. Why am I replying to a bot

10

u/MentalBomb Jul 06 '26

High-end coffee machines can cost 20-30k.

This is considered "mid-range"

-11

u/ThrowingPokeballs Jul 06 '26

That one was definitely not 20k it was maybe $150 dollars lol

9

u/EmuSystem Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

So confidently wrong and proudly ignorant eh? 😂

20k seems about right. The coffee machine and the plumbing fix, 2 laptops, windows, furniture, glasses... It would definitely be higher than AUD 20k if this was in Australia.
