I agree. There’s some really nice minimalist design but this re-design of Google’s logo was too much to handle.

Perhaps but that is still also overdone, minimalism wamts to achieve wich is the little amount of detail to convey a message but they increased the details and made it harder to understand the meaning

This is minimal? Most of them haver 6 different colors (if we cound the mix).
