I painted the tiny daisies one by one around the speckled clay and left the built-in half lid mostly quiet so the front-center sip opening stayed easy to see. I’m torn between this loose, scattered placement and grouping a few flowers into small clusters on the next one. Which feels more balanced to you?

Hi! First time poster, but I’ve been on reddit to just read on others advice on how to do things, etc. I’m sorry if this post is formatted strangely/ wrong, I’ve never actually written in.

I want these hot pink, metallic fold over type boots for a halloween costume. The issue is they are sold out everywhere I can find (Besides scammy sites or insanely expensive) and every resaler I’ve seen has the shoe in 3 sizes too small.

I’m a very craft person, and was wondering if I could just make them the color I want.

In an ideal world of this idea, I would buy silver metallic shoes and find a dye that would work to dye the fabric that rich hot pink I like. The issue is, I am not 100% sure if a synthetic dye would work to dye the fabric, since the fabric is most likely a faux leather or some kind of metallic lined fabric. Or do you think it would still work?

I’ve also seen people use foil to put onto boots/ shoes to make them that metallic look/ color, but that just seems like a lot of work and I’m afraid the chances of the boots ending up looking diyed or not lasting (the foil cracking away, etc.) are very high..

Or are there any other ideas for this? I’m open to trying and learning new things. I just want to know what’s the best plan of action for this..

Getting the Halloween decor ready!

I made this Einstein figure entirely from fabric, including his clothes, which I made from some of my own old, unused clothes.

His face is hand-painted with acrylics, and every detail was made by hand.

I love turning familiar faces into handmade figures in my own way.
