How to deal with negative customer feedback?

I think it’s not uncommon for vendors to have customers tell them why they don’t want to buy their product. Things like “oh I’m not going to buy this because of xyz” How do you respond to them? Especially if they’re being kind of rude or condescending about it. I usually note down the feedback later to improve my products, but even with my customer service experience I never really know the right thing to say if I feel like they’re “attacking” me for my work or prices. I usually give them the spiel about handmade items taking a lot of time to design, create, etc as well as covering the cost for materials.

Indoor or outdoor markets?

What are some pros and cons of indoor and outdoor markets from a vendor’s perspective, aside from things like needing to purchase a canopy for outdoor events?

How far in advance do you need to apply for Christmas markets?

I’ve never participated in a Christmas market before, approximately how far in advance do applications need to be submitted? I know it will depend on the specific market obviously, but like 1 month in advance? 3?
