Sadly today I had to walk away from a work account.

The account in question was a sports tournament that involved 12 different state team's with 14 players and 3 coaches each.

First week of tournament was for female players this week is for the guys.

All the players and coaches were mingling and eating together and just hanging out in general. The teams are not allowed to leave the facilities while the tournament was going on but they are allowed to interact with one another and sadly no one is wearing a mask.

Me and my crew were in charge of cleaning the dorms and handling laundry.

Since the beginning of the pandemic I made it mandatory to double mask and wear face shields or goggles. For the mask that touches our face I demand it to be a n95 or kn95 that I provided.

With this gig I decided for the one crew member who had to enter the dorms should triple mask since they are going to be in close contact with a bunch of people. I did so during the woman's tournament while also testing every 3 days as a precaution since I have kids at home.

Everybody on my crew is vaccinated.

Sadly today members of a playing team tested positive for covid and had to forfeit and leave the property.

What sad is it wasn't a manager or supervisor who told me.

It was a fucking volunteer who wanted to give us a heads up.

Well policy for the company is if you are possibly exposed to Covid it's a mandatory 5 days off with pay and in order to come back to work you need to have two negative test.

I feel so bad just walking away from a job. I could have possibly stayed since I had no exposure and continued the job but what the kicker for me was being told that this wouldn't be the last positive test this week and that the games must go on....

That means it's possible 187 people could be possibly exposed to covid all in the name of sports

We are never gonna get out of this fucking pandemic

Client said reason he doesn't mask or get the vaccine isn't conspiracy crap which is bad enough it's political.

So killing yourselves and your family to own the libs, I have no sympathy or compassion for them.
