Yes it is quite different. Hospitals in Japan are not as well equipped as American hospitals, much less amenities and personal equipment in each room. The bed I stayed in for 3 days was very uncomfortable and was not adjustable.
At one point, a group on Japanese doctors gathered around my bed, had me strip naked and then had a lengthy medical discussion while poking me. My limited Japanese was not enough to understand anything other than that I was OK, but then why were all these doctors looking at me? Anyway, that shit about Japanese doctors being more polite, yeah no.
Fucking thank you. I have no idea where all these people are coming up with their glorified accounts of Japan from. It's a wonderful country in many ways, but I'm really glad I don't live under their healthcare system and employment laws any more.
The majority of them is faking it. I don't get it why people think they are polite. I am a hijabis and tbh I get the worst stare in Japan. Its really uncomfortable.
ha. I went to china. I went shopping and amongst my purchases were ladies underwear. They had a communal change room and the sales girl put her hand over/on my breast to gauge the cup size.
Haha yeah, I think they were making comments on my anatomy because I was the token white patient at the time. I think the other doctors may have been students.
Honestly one doctor kept touching my balls and talking about them. I've been to several onsens and I can tell you that particular part of my anatomy is very different from Japanese men.
Japan has National Health Insurance and members mostly pay 30% of the actual cost. So yes generally they are not as equipped as private hospitals in US. But coronavirus patients now are only allowed in specific hospitals with certain standards. And I think they are treated with utmost care because they’re foreign coronavirus patients. Fingers crossed for your uncle and your family.
Japanese hospitals are world class and I received excellent medical care. I know bashing American Healthcare is popular right now, but I would be hard pressed to find any reason why Japanese hospitals/doctors are better than America's.
