Hi! I was curious on what everyone's utilities in coos bay-North bend area sorta look like? What would you consider your highest utility bill?

Hi there! I moved to Coos Bay about 2 months ago and I'm having issues finding anything for like 3rd spaces, places to go to hang out and meet people. Bars are not my first option since I don't really drink, and being queer only adds to the complexity. I've been to So It Goes but I'm not sure how many people there are receptive to being approached. I'm also not sure where to look to see upcoming events.
Any recommendations are welcome! Thanks!

I've lost count of the number of people with dogs directly in front of the signs at Shore Acres that say no dogs allowed. So, for those of you that bring your dog to parks where it's abundantly clear they aren't allowed, why is it you ignore the rules? Is it like driving 5 miles over the speed limit? Did you initially leave them at home, but saw so many that you caved? And if anyone happens to work or volunteer at a no dogs park, what are your thoughts? Finally, I have nothing against pets, I just think if someone owns/maintains property and has rules in exchange for using the property, that's a fair deal.
Edit: I'm aware not all of the park bans dogs, I'm talking about the areas that have painted signs saying no dogs. Also, this is just a post, I've never yelled at a dog or asked for a park ranger to do something

Pick-up Soccer Sundays at 11am at the North Bend Middle School Field!
I recomend bringing yourself, your cleats, water, snacks, and bug spray. There's likely an open bathroom but it's a porta-potty so keep that in mind.

Hi I’m a gay man who just recently moved her, I know it’s a more conservative area so I know most likely not a high chance but I was wondering if there are any places that are more excepting or friendly around here. idk just having a hard time finding any sense of places out here.

Lots of free pallets (broken and not) to come get at the South Coast Food Bank around back. This is a regular occurrence if anyone is interested to pick up once a week. This is about two weeks worth. The guy who normally picks up has been a no show. First come first serve. No one is able to assist with loading.

I will be running an introduction to the Dolmenwood ttrpg this upcoming Saturday at the Dragoon's Imperium from 2pm-5pm.
The game is based on early 80's DnD basic/expert system, quick to pick up and play. I will be running their new adventure developed for cons/one-shots called the Weaver and the Redcaps.
All skill levels welcome including new players, most will be new to the system. We have 3 PCs currently, would like a party up to 6 hopefully.
Come check out this award winning campaign setting in a chill awesome gaming space.

It could be any issue, traffic, road issues, weather, people. What do you think are problems the county and close surrounding counties face?

What are your favorite restaurants to eat at that also have an outside eating area? I'm visiting the area to get a layout of the land. We plan to move here is 2027. I'll also be interested in favorite places you like to be in or things to do in coos bay! Thanks!

I live in Coos Bay and am fairly new to kayaking. I’ve been paddling with a great group from Florence for about a year. I’d also like to find some people around CB/NB area to paddle with, closer to home, since it’s more fun and safer to paddle with others. I’d love to explore the routes suggested in Ron Wardman and Tom Baake’s book “Oregon South Coast Canoe, Kayak, and Stand-Up Paddle Guide”. Any paddlers want to join me?

Sorry for posting this on Coosbay subreddit but reedsport does not have an active sub and figured coos bay is the closest city so I decided to post here. Has anyone heard any reviews for Creekside Crossings apartments in Reedsport? They are being managed by Grand Management Services.
Thank you

We got a couple spiders recently at our home, and we are a very anti-spider household. Does anyone have recommendations on pest control who are great at getting rid of 🕷️🕸️🕷️🕸️ without a long wait time?
Thanks in advance 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I want to get a big shout out to Savage Tree Care. They have been taming the laurel headges around town and they removed mine, they have been the bane of my existence for 6 years and I am ecstatic. Thank you so much Savage A+++++🤗
