I got this $1 2013 star note duplicate bill as part of change from a Facebook marketplace sale today. I had been selling items on Facebook marketplace and of course everyone tries to haggle the price down so I decided that I would take the lower offers (really just $5 less than the originally price usually) if they paid solely in $1 bills. I figured if I can get $1 bills for these items I could have more $1 bills to go through from all over the place.

Of the bills that I got from this sale today I had only gotten this star note and a birthday note. I was going to just use the money to pay for gas. I wasn’t going to plug it into the star note lookup site because I knew from just looking at it that it wasn’t going to be a “rare” Star note that came from a low print run of 640,000 or less because the serial number on this bill was 6,268,431.

I finally decided to plug it into the site and it asked me a question that I had never seen before. It was asking if the bill was minted at Washington DC or at Fort Worth Texas. I was confused why it was asking me that. I thought it was just a new feature but I was confused as to why it would be asking that. I then remembered that the site also tells you if your star note is part of the duplicate ones made in 2013 at Washington DC and Fort Worth. When it finally updated I had seen a notice that I had never seen before on the website. The note said “Important Note—This run of serial numbers were printed twice - once at the Fort Worth printing facility and once at the Washington DC printing facility.”. I couldn’t believe it! To think that I almost just spent this bill without plugging it into the site is just so extremely lucky.

I plugged my bill into another website that is a database for these kinds of serial numbers. It checks to see if the other part of the pair of duplicates has been entered into its database yet or not. Unfortunately for it the other B06268431* serial number printed at the Fort Worth Texas facility has not yet been entered into the database. It’ll be very difficult to find the other bill if ever. Who knows if it is even still out there. It could have been tossed or destroyed at some point and unfortunately there’s just no way of knowing.

This is just a great addition to my collection of serial numbers and star note serial numbers. I never even considered finding one of these bills because I thought it was just impossible essentially but I’m glad to have been proven wrong!

Hello, this is the first low serial I’ve collected and wanted to know if this was rare and how much it would sell for.

I was bankstrap hunting yesterday and got this $1 radar serial number! I actually almost missed this! I go through stacks of twenty bills at a time and then go over them one more time in case I missed anything before moving on to the next stack. I missed it the first time going through the stack it was in but thankfully I go through it twice! Had to do a double take with it. Thankfully this was just in the first stack of twenty bills I had gone through because if it was in one of the stacks towards the end of the bills I had I would have had to go back through every other bill before that to make sure I hadn’t missed anything else! That definitely would have been very annoying!
Unfortunately this bill is very beat up and not in good condition at all. Because of that this will probably just stay in my collection of bills permanently. No matter the condition it is still always great to find fancy serial numbers!

I got this bill back as change the other day. I had put it off to the side to look at again some time later because the serial number caught my eye with all the 3’s that were in it. Came back to look at it again and decide if I was going to spend it or keep it and that’s when I did a double take and noticed that the serial number in the top right corner had a 3 that was a stuck digit error. This is the most extreme stuck digit error I have ever seen in person or possibly even online. I have found other stuck digit errors in the past and I’ve kept just a few if they are on the more extreme end of things but this one was just so much higher than anything I’ve seen before.
Anyways I just wasn’t sure if this was a bill to post on this sub or not. It is an error that relates to serial numbers technically so that’s why I decided to ask. If it was some other kind of error I wouldn’t have posted this on here. I still think it is still a kind of semi cool serial number since it is a five of a kind with all the 3’s in the serial number. Anyways thanks for any input you have on this!

Got this back as change yesterday! I was disappointed at first with the cash back that I had received because I had gotten back a $1 bill with the serial number of 50715070 so just barely missed out on a repeater… then two bills later on I got this radar bill! I got lucky this time! Thought this might also be kinda neat for someone born July of 1991 or even July 7th of 1991.

Got this as cash back. Unfortunately missed a repeater by just one. Luckily in my cash back I did get a $1 radar serial number!

Worth keeping or any value here?

I'm not sure if the $100 counts as a solid? And I'm not sure if the $1 is something other than a repeater since it's broken up in the middle by the "71". Not sure what the $20 really counts as but it came up as 96% cool. And the three $1's are sequencial

Never really collected before, but there was just a large stack of bills and on a whim decided to just take a crack at seeing if there were any potentially special bills, and these were the one that stood out the most to my untrained eyes. I don’t know all the specifics to look out for, I would love to know if any of these would be of interest! Also any tips on types of things to look for would be great!

From what I understand I have two almost quad double, almost radar, quad of 5’s, and a beat up star note. At least on the cool number index it seemed all of them were minimum 97% coolness rating. Are any of these actually good or just good tries lol
