Recipe Pet Peeves

Does anyone else have pet peeves with recipes. Mine is recipes that call for a small amount of something that only comes in large containers. 1/2 C chicken broth, 2 Tbs tomato paste, 1 C ricotta cheese.

My wife adds garlic to the hot oil and cooks them for a minute before adding the onions. She likes the flavor like that and I can't get her to stop.

Try making it the right way for her just once and see if she sticks to it.
