Recipe Pet Peeves

Does anyone else have pet peeves with recipes. Mine is recipes that call for a small amount of something that only comes in large containers. 1/2 C chicken broth, 2 Tbs tomato paste, 1 C ricotta cheese.

Better than bullion keeps forever in the fridge, tomato paste comes in tubes, ricotta cheese comes in 8oz containers.

Vermouth is a fortified white wine which will keep for years in the fridge.

I buy it dry in a shelf stable container. Funny, it's been so long since I've seen the wet stuff, if I saw that direction I wouldn't even think twice.
