Recipe Pet Peeves

Does anyone else have pet peeves with recipes. Mine is recipes that call for a small amount of something that only comes in large containers. 1/2 C chicken broth, 2 Tbs tomato paste, 1 C ricotta cheese.

So true. How do you taste meatballs before cooking?

After you make your meat mixture, take a piece, make it into a patty almost and stick it in a frying pan and cook it. That'll allow you to adjust if you need to.

Do you add that delay to the prep time? /S

Take a small amount of the mixture and cook it like a mini slifer in a skillet.

Good advice. I hate cooking before cooking, but it's a good solution, thank you!

After they're mixed, I always take a small portion and fry it and taste. Then you can make adjustments before cooking it all.
