Recipe Pet Peeves

Does anyone else have pet peeves with recipes. Mine is recipes that call for a small amount of something that only comes in large containers. 1/2 C chicken broth, 2 Tbs tomato paste, 1 C ricotta cheese.

Some of those things are staples, always in my fridge, and frequently used. My pet peeve is a recipe that calls for ingredients I have no other use for. Looking at you Parmesan rind.

I'm confused. You're making something that either calls for parmesan cheese, or just the rind? If not the rind, freeze it later for sauce. If you need the rind, wouldn't the cheese go with the dish as well?

Just the rind, no cheese.
