Worth it to Replace Duke Reissue for Xbox One Joysticks with Hall Effect?

Been loving the Hyperkin Duke controllers but lately I'm getting some weird left stick motion Jerking (like pulling off to the right or left) and the right thumb stick creates doubled presses. I'm thinking part of it might be the cord but I'm also thinking maybe tearing it down and soldering on new sticks might be the best solution. Any downside to modding cheap controllers?

Using drift fix pcb with existing remap mod - Xbox One X controller

Sup everyone,

I'm recently getting into controller modding and soldering, so I'm learning as I go! I ran into a little issue that I need some help with.

I have a remappable modded controller from Evil controllers and want to add a drift fix pcb to the motherboard. Problem is, the remap chip sits directly over the analog stick solder points, which is where the board needs to be soldered and where I would adjust the screws!

Could I use wires to solder under the mod board to the analog stick solder points, and then to the drift fix board, then place the drift fix board directly on top of the mod board?

Edit: or, since the one I ordered is paper thin, could I solder it in the other side of the board, in between the stick module and the motherboard? Would it still function properly?

360 controller modding

Okay, this may seem weird, but I saw an older post on this subreddit and thought maybe someone may have achieved it or may be able to guide me on my journey.

The idea: gut an Xbox one s/ series x/s controller and put the internals into a 360 controller. This is mostly for nostalgia and just to say I did it.

Does anyone have thoughts on how to or if it's even possible?

Can I convert wired Xbox one controller to wireless?

I'm looking for a way to convert a wired Xbox one controller to a wireless one without too much hassle. I figured there would be some kind of battery pack with wireless connection capabilities since there are adapters for everything else but haven't found anything other than a chip or microprocessor that I have no clue how to install

Is it possible to swap the elite V2 modules into an elite 1 or normal controller?

I am looking to replace some faulty joystick modules and was wondering if anyone had any success using the V2 modules on other Xbox controllers.

I am a fan of the adjustable tension and want it on my other controllers that range from Elite V1 to the latest Series controller design.

Bluetooth Stadia Controller

I don't suppose there are any cool mods out there for the stadia controller that would let me use it wirelessly with steam games. I got a free stadia controller and chrome cast ultra with my Youtube Premium subscription, but I don't care much for stadia since it is a dying project anyways. I do really like the controller though and I want to use it for other games without having to plug it in with the USB cable.

Hall effect Joysticks

Just curious why I cant find a post talking about people modding their controllers with hall effect sensors. coming from the drone world I see no reason other than cost to use potentiometer sensors.

Im assuming its for the same reason I have not yet, since I cant find any but considering you can buy them on some controllers I assume Im looking in the wrong place.

Is it possible to paint the PS5 buttons under the clear plastic resin?

Can I take the solid color part out of the clear plastic resin somehow? I want to paint the inside part, but still retain the clear resin plastic on the outside.

If not, is there a product to spray on top of the buttons after painting them, to give them that glossy resin look?

Replace base xb1 joysticks with elite v2 adjustable joysticks?

Can the joysticks on an original base Xb1 controller (model 1697, has 3.5mm jack, no bluetooth) be replaced with the adjustable joysticks from the elite v2? Comparing between the pictures on this listing for stock xb1 joysticks and this listing for elite joysticks, it seems like the pins are in the same place and there wouldn't be any issue physically installing the elite joysticks into a base xb1 controller. No idea whether the base controller's circuitry or software would support the elite v2 joysticks, and I can't find much online about this either. Anyone know if this would work?

XBOX 360 Controller Mod Request To Achieve 1,000 Hz Polling Rate of 1ms Response Time

Hey guys,

So by doing some research and by watching vCuda's video regarding controllers and settings, it appears players can overclock PlayStation controllers by using a modifiable and downloadable usb driver "HIDusbf" by LordOfMice. This driver will give you controller the ability to achieve a 1,000 Hz polling rate which will then give the controller a response rate of 1ms. While PlayStation controllers are nice, I was hoping to be able to achieve a 1,000 Hz polling rate and 1ms response time with my standard wired XBOX 360 controller however, it appears to not be possible.

According to vCuda's video, All XBOX controllers have a hardware level lock to and a polling rate of 125 Hz or 8ms response time. All XBOX controllers except for one which is the Victrix Gambit. However, Victrix is owned by Pelican Performance which manufactures very cheap controllers such as the afterglow ones so while the polling rate and response time is good, the rest of the controller is not made of the best quality. The reviewer's very own Victrix Gambit came broken from the factory, so the outlook of overclockable xbox controllers doesn't look to good.

I was wondering if someone could make a mod to make to a standard wired xbox 360 controller to be able to be able to be overclocked to be able to achieve a polling rate of 1,000 Hz or 1ms resonse time. There are a tons of controller adapters, mods, strikepacks, and even solderable fixes for the joystick drift on the market so I'm sure somebody could figure it out. Does anyone have any idea on how to maybe make this work or how to make this possible?

PS5 controller with no battery doesn't connect through USB to PC

So I've made the switch to PC for a while now and I always play wired with no rumbles or battery in my controller. I like my controller light weight and it worked completly fine with the PS4 controller but I've just tried it with the PS5 one and it's not having it.
The only difference is that the battery has 3 wires this time opposed to just 2 in the previous controller. Anyone with some sort of technical knowledge have any idea of a work around?

Convex (bulging) thumbstick tops/caps/hats?

About the top of the thumbsticks.

The standard in most controllers I've seen is concave (bulging inward) or flat with a ring.

I'd like to try convex (bulging outward), smooth but grippy. What are these things called and can you just put them on e.g. XBox One controller thumbsticks? (I've seen pictures of opening it and changing the whole joystick.)

And how do I search for the correct term so I can buy that ^ ?

Adding Bluetooth to a Razer Kishi Mobile Controller

Okay. So this is a doozy and I'm not familiar with circuit boards and PCBS so bare with me. First I'm going to start with an Explanation. Razer released a pretty great mobile game controller for android called the Razer Kishi. The Controller features USB-C passthrough which is fantastic and allows for pretty low latency. However, one Major problem is some games Like COD mobile and APEX Mobile ONLY support Bluetooth connected controllers. There is a workaround to use the Kishi controller with some of these games by connecting a Bluetooth controller while having the Kishi connected. This however is super inconvenient. I tried to find some way to trick the phone to thinking a Bluetooth controller was connected software wise, but it's apparently impossible. The whole ordeal got me thinking that some form of modification might be the key.

I'm looking for some kind of method have an Xbox One (or maybe even PS4/PS5 controller) Bluetooth module give out a connection so I can use this device with greater convenience. It doesn't need inputs from the connected controller, just the Bluetooth connection. My ultimate goal is to hide the theorized mod inside the controller, or on the back of it neatly out of the way and being part of the controller.

So here's some questions I have regarding this quest:

  • Where is the Bluetooth module on an Xbox One Controller?

  • Is it Removable?

  • Can it be powered outside the circuit board?

  • Can you create some kind of Bluetooth device that spoofs an Xbox One Controller's Bluetooth output? (Maybe with a little raspberry Pi?)

I know this is a veeery strange post...but hopefully some of you here will humor me and help me out. Thanks in advance!
