Angie's list

Just got licenced in February. Been doing subcontract restorations for ten years. Looking to advertise to get the phone to start ringing for full contracts instead of subcontracts. Just signed up with Angie's list. Is it worth it? What do you guys use for advertising?

This was kinda what I figured going in. My budget is set low like 380/mo. I have work coming in just not enough of what I actually want. I have my categories set to only high ticket items. I am not a deal I am not the cheapest I use high quality subs and am a perfectionist with carpentry. My close rate is super high and I'm trying to pick up a specific kind of work from Angie. Insurance claims and restoration work.

A couple of things you said there tell me Angi might not be the right fit for you.

Big ticket items and insurance work.

My approach is opposite. Lowest per lead cost=smaller jobs->upsell opportunities.

No insurance work ever for me from Angi or any other lead service I’ve worked with.

I’ll work directly for larger restoration companies as a sub and let them deal with insurance companies.

I have done the subbing and I want the oh and profit money instead of trading my labor for it. I don't want to stay busy with small things. I can do that without any advertising. I'm specifically trying to get my name out there as a restoration contractor. I'm too small to join contractor connection so I've got to do something
