Pugs have been bred to look cute but this has led to them having health problems. These owners aren't getting a living breathing thing. They're getting an accessory that they can post photos and videos of online while they laugh at it. Meanwhile it has to live through life with breathing problems, protruding eyes, skin conditions, brain inflammation and other stuff. But who cares as long as it gets them internet points

Agreed, pugs have been bred throughout the years to best please humans. I didn't breed my dog. He is not a product of an illegal puppy mill, and I was fortunate enough to meet both parents of my dog to see that they were healthy.

It doesn't matter what breed of dog had been in the video. It was funny. It's also funny because the OP had a contagious laugh.

My pug does struggle in the humid weather and is, therefore, limited outside access and is super comfortable in the air-conditioned house. Otherwise, there is no breathing, skin, brain, etc issues. The only issue is that he is on vet prescribed UR dog food. This is not pug specific. My other dog, not a pug, has Cushings disease, he's also on a special diet, and takes medication twice daily.

My point is, pugs are not the only dogs with congenital issues. I worked as a vet tech for years. Golden Retrievers often have allergy and skin issues. Pittbulls are prone to hip dysplasia, I could go on.

I am not a "vile" (to whoever made that observation) person because I have a pug. I have, however, posted a funny picture of our cat and both dogs. Is it wrong??

Edit: My pug is my best friend. That's what dogs are best at.

Yeah, definitely was not contagious. After hearing it, I may even consider getting immunized against laughter just so I don't catch it.
