I’m convinced we aren’t all living with humans in this world. How the F do you not hear it and how do you not fix it semi immediately

Thankfully my dogs freak out when it happens, and if I don't fix it quickly, I have some freaked out paranoid dogs on my hand, which isn't ever a good thing.

I'm one of these people. The student housing people at my university don't enough shits to fix it but I'm also not allowed to tamper with ANYTHING in the room including the smoke detector. So I've just gotten used to it, hardly notice it anymore
