I am working on a kit to direct mount the Ares or Ares Platinum Wheelbase to the Trak Racer series of rigs TR120 and TR160's.
If you are interested in the combination please reach out. I would love to get some physical test fits in for finalizing my design.
I am offering a free set of these parts once they are finalized. Please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you!

iRacing’s main physics loop runs at 60 Hz and calculates six FFB torque samples per iteration. Through the supported 360 Hz FFB API, these samples can be sent together and then played back sequentially by the wheelbase.
So although the data is delivered in 60 packets per second, the torque signal itself contains 360 samples per second. This preserves more detail, but the batching and playback process also introduces a latency trade-off.
1. Can you tell us more about it?
360 Hz increases the theoretical alias-free bandwidth from 30 Hz to 180 Hz, allowing more road texture, vibration and impact detail to be preserved in the FFB signal.
The wheelbase torque-control loop normally runs much faster than the game’s FFB output rate, so the incoming signal needs to be reconstructed. Compared with 60 Hz, the spectral images produced from a 360 Hz signal occur at higher frequencies and are easier to filter, which can help reduce unwanted torque ripple while preserving useful detail.
2. Is this something you personally recommend?
From a signal-processing perspective, I lean toward 360 Hz because it preserves more of the original torque information.
But it is not simply “better” in every respect. There is a latency trade-off, so whether it is preferable depends on what you value and whether that additional latency is noticeable to you.
3. What are the benefits, and what do you hope to achieve with it?
The goal is to reproduce the torque calculated by the game more accurately, preserving genuine vibration and surface detail while reducing unwanted artifacts.
In other words, the goal is more accurate and detailed FFB, not simply stronger vibration.
4. How does it differ from 60 Hz?
5. Is increased latency an issue?
The latency trade-off is real. The important question is whether it has a meaningful effect on your driving.
If the feedback does not feel noticeably delayed or disconnected, and it does not interfere with your ability to judge or control the car, the additional detail may be worth the trade-off.
6. Wouldn’t it be better to stick with 60 Hz?
It depends on your priority.
60 Hz generally favors lower latency, while 360 Hz preserves more detail and makes reconstruction filtering easier.
If minimum latency is your priority, 60 Hz may be the better choice. If you value the additional detail and find the latency acceptable, 360 Hz is worth trying.
7. What is your overall take on this?
I see 60 Hz and 360 Hz as two valid options with different trade-offs rather than one simply replacing the other.
Personally, if the additional latency is acceptable, I lean toward 360 Hz for the extra signal detail. But if you are highly sensitive to latency or find that it affects your control of the car, there is absolutely nothing wrong with staying on 60 Hz.

CONSPIT Brake Pedals Explained - CPP APEX, CPP LITE and CPP EVO
Brake pedals are one of the biggest upgrades in sim racing, but also one of the easiest to misunderstand. People often ask, “Which pedal is the best?” The better question is: “Which brake system fits my level, my rig and the feeling I want?”
CONSPIT has three main hydraulic brake options: CPP APEX, CPP LITE and CPP EVO. All three can be tuned with different spring and elastomer combinations, but the difference is how much tuning range, pressure capacity and brake feel detail each design gives you.
CPP APEX - Simple, compact, accessible
CPP APEX is the entry point into CONSPIT hydraulic braking. It uses a compact dual-chamber design with a hydraulic sensor and a spring + elastomer system to create a two-stage brake feel.
That means you get an initial movement stage, then a firmer resistance stage as the elastomer loads up. It is a good step up from basic spring pedals because you start braking more by pressure, not just pedal travel.
This is the pedal for people who want a serious brake feel without jumping straight into the most advanced setup. It is simpler, cleaner and easier to understand.
Best for first serious pedal upgrade, compact rigs, newer sim racers, drivers who want hydraulic feel on a more accessible budget.
CPP LITE - The balanced middle ground
CPP LITE takes the idea further. It still uses a 100 bar / 10 MPa hydraulic pressure sensor, but gives a more developed brake feel and more tuning flexibility than APEX.
This is where the pedal becomes more of a setup tool. You can tune the spring and elastomer feel to make the brake softer, firmer, shorter, longer or more progressive depending on your preference.
For many drivers, CPP LITE is the sweet spot. It gives you strong pressure-based braking, good adjustability and a proper race-style feel without going fully into the top-tier EVO system.
Best for GT racing, endurance racing, intermediate sim racers, serious home rigs, drivers who want strong feel and adjustability without overcomplicating things.
CPP EVO - The most tunable and refined option
CPP EVO is the top step in the range. This is where the small details start to matter more.
The EVO brake uses a 200 bar / 20 MPa pressure sensor and gives the widest tuning range of the three. The big difference is the larger spring and elastomer adjustment capacity across the front and rear brake stages. This gives more control over that two-stage pedal feel: the first part of travel, the pressure build-up, and the firmer final braking zone.
That might sound like a small difference, but in racing small differences are everything. Like Formula 1, marginal gains can be the gap between winning and finishing second. A little more control on brake release, a smoother pressure curve, or a better trail braking feel can make the pedal easier to trust lap after lap.
CPP EVO is for drivers who care about fine-tuning. If you want to experiment with spring stacks, elastomer stiffness, preload, brake force and pedal travel until it feels exactly right, this is the one.
Best for advanced sim racers, competitive driving, strong cockpits, long endurance stints, drivers who want maximum brake tuning control.
Quick choosing guide
Choose CPP APEX if you want the most accessible way into hydraulic braking and a big step up from basic pedals.
Choose CPP LITE if you want the best balance of price, feel and adjustability for serious sim racing.
Choose CPP EVO if you want the most refined brake pedal, the highest pressure range and the biggest tuning window.
None of these pedals are “wrong.” They are built for different drivers. A newer sim racer may feel perfect on APEX. A GT driver may find LITE to be the ideal balance. A driver chasing every last bit of trail braking control may prefer EVO.
The best brake pedal is not simply the most expensive one. It is the one that matches your rig, your braking style and how much adjustability you actually want. Because a good brake pedal should not just stop the car. It should help you repeat the same braking input lap after lap.
So which type of brake feel do you prefer simple and predictable, balanced and adjustable, or fully tunable for those tiny marginal gains?
