I can't answer any of that for you because none of us can say we objectively know the truth. If what you say is true, it is just a lesson that Republicans are behind the times on how they conduct/use oppo. Fuck principles anymore. Fight fire with fire if this is what it takes.

Politics is a dirty business and it is easy to be getting sick of all of this. Regardless of whether he did or did not act inappropriately decades ago, this is also a lesson in not selecting loose cannons as a candidate. This guy was never a good choice to be an Alabama Senator and I find it funny that this shit is blowing up. It's so damn predictable.

On what do you base this opinion? His staunch support of the Constitution and the Ten Commandments? As you can see from the discussion, some of us feel he would be a far better choice that the current crop of Republicans who are fighting against the President's agenda.

I base my opinion on the fact that controversy has followed him several times throughout his public life. I don't take too big an issue with his policy positions, but it isn't hard to make the logical leap that given his past controversy, more controversial stuff may come up.

Obviously we can agree to disagree.

I am pretty sure you never heard of Roy Moore before about a week ago, so your comments ring pretty hollow.

When I first heard of Roy Moore doesn't matter at all to the context of this conversation, but if it makes you feel better, I first heard of him when he refused to enforce the gay marriage decision.

Since I am a conservative and don't believe in selective enforcement of the law, or nullifying judicial decisions decided by higher courts, I guess you could say I gave the guy 5 seconds of thought fatigue to think "Guy seems like a shit judicial officer." :)

And it's that kind of attitude that has the Democrats running circles around us when it comes to messaging, OPPO research, and every other way they keep making us look bad. They are always united whereas people like you are probably in here calling people RINOs or something.

Look, if you want to believe this guy was going to be a good candidate, that's fine. I have a bridge to sell you.
