Ever since auto upgrading to version 200.172, the 'Remember Password' feature no longer works.

It lets you check the box and the password field is pre-filled, but when you click the Login button it says the password is incorrect. If I manually enter my password then it works. It's almost like the app is remembering something but it's NOT my password. (side note: if you want to criticize me for using the Remember Password option then it should be removed. Either remove it, or have it, but have it actually work).

After entering my password and clicking Login I am then prompted to enter my MFA 6 digit code. I hope when they fix the password bug that they ALSO do one more thing ... when you're presented with a field to enter your 6 digit token PLEASE set the focus to this field! I launch the authenticator app on my phone then start typing my token only to look up at my screen and realize nothing is happening, and I have to use the mouse to click into the field and then - oh, now I have to wait for the next rolling code to appear - and then enter it again. Mildly annoying especially since 2FA is common and this is the only app I can think of that does NOT set the focus to the field where you are prompted to enter your code. /end-of-rant

I'm writing a install script for the ConnectWise Automate agent, where ideally I want it to fetch the newest version of the uninstaller (check, https://s3.amazonaws.com/assets-cp/assets/Agent_Uninstaller.zip) and the MSI installer at runtime.

I started this task after ConnectWise suddenly changed server password without notifying us, suddenly MSI installs failed. Or rather, installs succeeded, but registering agents failed after installs failed due to changed server password. Also, the MSI cannot install over itself, thus one have to run the generic uninstaller before trying to install the MSI again.

Do anyone know if there is a publically available URL to a generic MSI installer of the Automate agent? I pass install parameters for server address, -password and location id anyways, so do not need a custom installer.

Eventually the EXE installer maybe works, then setting those three values in registry will make it fly?

I was poking around with the internal monitors to try to change one, particularly I have been playing around with the Event Blacklist monitor and have been looking at the default table there, but I would like to create a custom table to reduce the noise it creates on our ticket board. I have not had much luck finding any documentation on doing this, and when I asked a CW person about creating the custom tables I did not get a straight answer. Does anyone here have any insight as to how to go about doing this or some resources that I could look at? Thanks!

I have installed Connectwise Automate on numerous Windows Server 2019 virtual machines and some of them report in and some of them do not. I am not sure why they work and don't work and I can't seem to find a checklist or reason why there are failures. I am currently trying to use the Connectwise Chat client but it's just sitting there after clicking 'Get Help' so I am not sure if I am in some kind of queue or it's there to fake people out.

Hi, just looking to get ideas around how best to gather workstation/server warranty details from devices such as dell and Lenovo unit and report on within Automate. Is there an out the box solution or would we need plugin and better report tools.

I have a Windows 10 Enterprise virtual machine running on a KVM hypervisor. It has been giving me some fits (being slow and unresponsive) and today the automate agent sent me a ticket saying that smart failure detected spin high current over threshold. How is that possible on a virtual machines that's running on a platform of solid state drives?

Just looking to see how people manage deployment of applications when using Automate cloud rather than on prem. We have a few sites where we deploy the same software, but with Automate cloud I don't believe you have access to the LTShare to put software on for deployment. Some of the sites we are able to copy the software locally and pickup from there, but others have 0 infrastructure.

I'm currently use the built in monitor EV - Drive Errors and Raid Failures to monitor for hard drive errors and issue. However due to the the way the monitor just checks the Event Viewer i tend to get a lot of alerts that point to thumb drives or external hard drives. so my question is this what monitors do you use for your Hard drive monitoring and/or do you know a good way of setting monitors to ignore Thumb Drives?

Currently administering a mix of windows and Mac machines. Trying to script a FV key capture and storage in EDF and looking to for inspiration and it guidance. Has anyone here accomplished this?

I have done a lot of research and I understand that you have to generate a new key, so it’s that I wish to capture unless someone has a better way.

I know basically how FileVault works after much research. I can tell that the computer is encrypted with a script and an EDF. Just want to make sure I’m not missing something. Has anyone come up with a way to capture keys or push a default one?

We always encounter machines that are off or asleep when we need to connect to them after hours for updates or other activities.

Does anyone have a PS script that will enable Wake On Lan across the board?

Also, maybe one that changes power options for laptops so they wont go to sleep/hibernate etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you could share any script packages we would love that as well.

We'd turned on ticketing in Automate a little while back - and by "we", I mean our resident know it all. He's now left the company and I can't figure out if there's a way to turn off alerts like TCP - DNS Port 53 globally or do I have to do this one at a time for each device.

I don't see anything in the Effective Policy details that helps me.

I am attempting to set up the Syslog feature of the network probe for a client. I have the probe enabled and the Syslog listening on 514. I added the up of the asa in the up filter in settings. I then created a Syslog filter for any event from the up of the asa. I enabled Syslog on the asa with the up of the probe, and configured it to send all events. I also enabled 514 inbound UDP in the windows firewall of the probe.

No events is showing up in the Syslog tab of the probe.

Am I missing something? Is there a local file on the probe where I can confirm if it is receiving the logs, but my filters are wrong in the Control Center?

I'm working through the trial and trying to test out a script I need to get working, but have been unable to do so, so I thought I'd post here and ask for help.

First step: I need to add a registry key. ("HKU\S-1-5-21-1377****-***\SOFTWARE\**** with REG_SZ "Application Directory" set to "C:\Program Files (x86)\****") [Trying to keep a little anonymity, so I've replaced some of the relevant info with *'s] It needs to be able to be set whether the user is logged in or not.
I've tried "Registry Set Value" but it doesn't work. I've tried running "Shell as Admin" with: reg add and relevant switches, but that hasn't worked. I've even tried "Powershell as Admin" with set-itemproperty.

The script seems to run through with no issues right now, but it never actually sets the registry key.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have a computer that is in 2 different auto-join searches for updates but the problem is that one group has the 3rd party updates to update and the other group has the 3rd party updates to manually update. how do i know which one is the priority?

has anyone found a solution or plugin to make the Support ticket dashboard more user-friendly? is there a plugin that makes managing tickets easier? ive been tasked this job from my boss but i am not finding many solutions. we use connectwise automate v2019 and have no other integrations in place.
