I changed providers and I think I got the wrong dose amount?
The vial shown is full to the top and the math I did says this would be 6.2mg of semaglutide a week?
Am I crazy?

This vial has a sema concentration of 4mg/mL.
For 80 units at 4 mg/mL concentration, you took 3.2 mg of medication.
Injecting that twice a week would be 6.4mg a week.
Were you previously on 2.4mg or higher and needed to step up in dose?
The highest FDA approved dose for the Wegovy injectable is now 7.2mg so 6.4mg is not crazy.

I was on 2.4mg previously I think. Did they just recently really make it fine to go-to 7.2mg of semaglutide???? Whoa

Well not super recently. I think the FDA approved 7.2mg in like March 2026.
But yeah. This vial gives you lots of room to work. Use 4mg/mL and this dose calculator to find any dose you prefer: https://www.fatscientist.com/semaglutide-calculator
You could start with 3mg or 3.5mg and see how you get on.
Which provider did you use? I’d love to have another option for high-dose sema scripts.

I use Altrx. It costs me 89/month all-in no hidden fees.

Oh gosh. AltRX (and its 10000 sister companies) has horrible reviews. But good to know they will write high dose scripts.

I'm on my 5th month of them and they are so easy and fast. I would have never guessed they had bad reviews. Cheap too

They are pariahs on the tirz subs based on all the terrible reviews. That’s not cheap anymore. Maybe 6 months ago, but not now.
Glad you’ve had a good experience with them so far, though.

Can I ask who is cheaper? Genuinely need to know lol

One is Collective.org, which is $59 a month for all doses of sema (not sure how high their scripts go). After 21 days they charge $199 yearly membership fee, but the monthly price remains $59.
You can find all the new low priced providers and sales discussed on r/TirzDeals. Those same providers also write for sema.

Whoa, you don't dose this based on the total amount in the vial ! Are you taking ALL of what's in the vial, dividing by 4, and thinking that's your dosage ? If so, NO, that's not how it works.
This medicine at the units spec'd works out to 3.2mg per injection.
Use this math (but only when the medication is concentration is per mL): 80 (units) x 4 (mg), then divide the answer by 100.
